Money bomb for NRA on 3/24

Donate to whomever you want. But just stop for a moment and reflect how things would be after Parkland if HRC was in charge. NRA isn’t perfect but it’s the most effective org out there

NRA probably was hoping for a Clinton win - they'd get even more money to fight gun-grabbers since we'd have even less representation in the government.

I disagree with a lot of the things the NRA does and how they do them. Sometimes I swear the spokespeople they send out are incompetent, incapable of using facts and don't have the ability to bring people over to their side of the argument. With all of that being said, I joined the NRA today. With all of the company's abandoning them and people calling for other companies to boycott them I wanted the NRA to be able to count all the new sign ups they'd had and say "look how many members we've had join in response to these companies abandoning us" so those companies and the public would know that they (the NRA) still had the support of a lot of people.

I’m tough on the NRA but you are doing a great thing showing your support to any of the groups. Job well done.

I too am not an NRA ditto-head. But it's inescapable..the NRA has some serious muscle with the players in DC.
I view them as I view any other employee; No matter how good they do some things, there are gonna be things you gotta keep them straight on.
Honestly, my biggest complaint is not all the annoying stuff, it's that they don't aggressively fight within the media. Media attacks, NRA stays silent, until after a week or so. But by then the stupid narrative is established and now a defensive posture is needed.

I know why they do this. It's because whatever they say gets edited and warped. Well then, don't say anything outside of 'you're an idiot' and then no amount of editing can get past 'the media is an idiot'. Be ready for the gotcha questions and fire back. It ain't that hard to do. The media are retards and easily shown as such.

Keep LaPierre on, but behind the scenes. He's got pull in DC. Put up new young faces as spokespersons..Collin Noir, Dana Loesch, etc. Somebody with some spark, not some old white guy which only permeates the old white guys image. Plus, lots harder to call a black guy racist or a woman a bigot.

I have seen Dana Loesch representing the NRA but I never have heard what she has said. There’s other things going thru my head when I see her.

Collin Noir would be an excellent spokesperson.

Paid my dues to join the NRA today (5 year membership). Primary reason was catching that idiotic CNN town hall and that jackass sheriff in Broward County. There is a gun club nearby I've been thinking of joining that requires membership as well, so another reason to join. Might have to set aside some donation money too.

Ok all, today is the day we all said we would money bomb the NRA or whomever else you want to send your money to. I don't agree with everything the NRA does but they have been and still are the 800 LB gorilla that the Dems hate. Just sent $30 their way..

Alright well here we are today is my birthday... Get all your money together and get me a stripper.. she needs all her teeth this time and I don’t want her wig falling off so make sure it’s real too.

Sent NRA some money.

What is this money for, exactly?
Is the NRA broke and cant lobby anymore?
How will the funds be used?

Why not spend some of those resource on Jerek, a local member who gets dozens and dozens of guns out to the public each weekend there is a gunshow, but now is struggling, mentally and physically, due to medical issues?
I'd rather send my money his way and help a great family than to fatten up NRA, one is a small guy trying to do good, the other is a multi-million dollar business.

I'm going to do that too. Been deciding on donating a good to sell or buying something already for sale. We have to also look out for one another in this world too.

80.00 to NRA this morning..... They may not be perfect but I've never seen a Lib that didn't have some degree of fear from them... They are truly the 800 pound gorilla in the room.... Never have I heard GOA mentioned in any news.....

But what about a man in a rhino costume?

The NRA needs to quit putting Wayne in front of the camera and get Tom Selleck or Kurt Russell to champion for them.

I am a lifetime NRA member but I despise Wayne L. and Chris C.
Eh, not a bad idea, but I think the better idea would to put Noir up there. HE needs to be the face and voice of the NRA.

Im not a member, and dont see becoming one anytime soon. Now if Colion Noir was their main mouth - I might be swayed. I like that dude a lot.

Yeah, they need to do more with him.

Honestly, he NEEDS to be the face of the 'gun movement'
He's not an old, rich white guy.
He dresses down, he's hip, he's appealing. He speaks clearly and persuasively.

Think of all the people who talk about how NRA is killing blacks blah blah blah...put a young black dude up front and change the perception of the group/gun community.
Face it, there are a lot of things that happen in this nation, in this WORLD, because of skin color. Let's mix things up a bit.

I NEVER send any videos to folks...except for his. Because the rest are tripe and pray on fear etc, not his.
But whatever, these are only my opinions.

Have you considered he may not want the job?

Youre exactly right, Im just giving my opinion of who I think should be the face of the organization and gun community.

I hear ya, but IMO that job kinda sucks. And maybe Mr. Noir doesn't want the headache. Or maybe he is secretly a FUDD and is just doing what he needs to do to make a living? Who knows?

Maybe.

But I think I read/heard, at one point, that he is a lawyer, so I doubt these videos are what he relies on to pay the bills, or at least that he doesnt NEED them to pay the bills.
Could be wrong. Its happened before. Once.

I want the guy that did the video on white people at a barbecue and white people at the range to be the NRA spokesperson. That guy has some personality.

That dude is good

I just extended my membership, extended the daughters and finally got the wife her membership. Then I donated. I also sent a note to the NRA-ILA with my concerns on BAU public relations and that this is a fight that they have not seen before and the momentum driven by the leftist orgs is going to be the fight of our lives. They need to change their Image Paradigm and realize that this fight is not on Capitol
Hill but in the court of public opinion. Wayne, Chris and Dana's efforts are unfortunately persona non grata as their reputations have been smeared into oblivion. Things need to change or the fight for our 2A will not be in the public debate but ... a real fight that destroys this Republic.

Just made two donations to the NRA. One donation in my name and the other in my wife's name (beauty of the donations is our credit card is Citibank :D). I am thinking of making a donation in Hogg's name.

Already beat you to the punch....I am a life member and also member of GRNC and donate to them too to help the cause. What I like to do is sign up friends who are not members....$35 bucks to get a years membership for a friend and add the the total NRA members role is always good.

Done!

My .02. I don't care what their salary is I think they should be paid well for what they. They are the largest and most powerful pro 2A group in the US
We need to support them they are most conventional means of fighting the left and their communistic agenda (we know there is unconventional means but we hope and pray it doesn't come to that) so let's agree and not fight and bicker among ourselves on Salaries etc.

Let's unite for the cause. Because in the end it

United We Stand or Divided We Fall.

How many people you guys think it’s going to take to fund Wayne La Pierre’s 5 million dollar salary. $5,000,000.00. That’s a lot of zeroes at $25. Wayne and Sarah Palin looooove those donations. Keep bank rolling these millionaires who feed off us poor folks.

His salary is right at $1m. But yes, still a lot of zeroes.

At present, nationwide we are experiencing the worst and most coordinated attack on 2A rights that I recall seeing in my life. We've been making good headway for the last 10 - 15 years, but that is all endangered right now. The momentum of anti-2A activists has rapidly gained traction. Every news source is flooded with articles and video's today about the anti-2A marches across the county.

It's not a bad idea to support your LGS, but as Drypowder stated on a different thread there is currently a steamroller gathering speed regarding crushing 2A rights.

A donation to your local small gun retailer will not help to stop the steamroller. The only thing that will is a bigger, more powerful steamroller of our own. And that's the NRA.

No other firearms support org comes close to the NRA's influence over elections. None. And now is the time to help make our steamroller even larger than before. If the NRA's donation drives now are not significant, politicians will see that as an indicator of weakening member support and they become less afraid of the NRA's power. That's about the worst thing that could happen to us right now.

If you choose not to support the NRA, that is certainly your right. But by sitting on the sidelines you're not helping our common cause. I sent in $100.00 to the NRA-PVF earlier today, and I just made a second donation of $100 to the NRA-ILA.

My humble opinion.
