Are you a safe queen?

He is a safe queen collector not a safe queen himself unless he sleeps in the safe with the guns.

I've probably traded off 100+ guns, my children's first 22's and my first gun (870 20g) will always be in the safe.
I don't keep many guns, if I don't shoot them, I don't see a reason to keep them and trade them off. I usually will always have a good bolt gun, a semi auto or 2 maybe 3. And 2-3 pistols. Is all I keep and most get shot Everytime I go.
I'm with you. I feel like I could have wrote this, lol, although I sadly don't have any heirlooms. Love em and leave/trade em.

I have more than twenty firearms and all get shot except for one. A Colt revolver handed down to my wife from her late father. Other than that one, I shoot them all.

By brother on the other hand, who doesn't like firearms btw, has an awesome collection of vintage stuff, including Garands, a .303 jungle carbine, M-1 Carbines, etc.......

@B00ger has seen it. It's a dang shame those firearms just sit.

It isn’t a “shame”. It’s an absolute crime. Looking through them was awesome. Thinking that they are still sitting and not being enjoyed is just...well...sad. People who collect and never shoot stuff is fine, they get enjoyment out of the hunt and knowledge of their collection. These, well, homie doesn’t even seem to care they exist.

I'm also of the mind set, that when I buy a super neato gee whiz gun, I don't wanna look at it, I want to shoot it. That's what it's about, innit? If I have to save up & wait for the right deal to come along, you can betcher ass I'm gonna shoot the hell out of it once it's in my grubby hands.

I like guns. I like old guns. I like new guns.

But I like guns I can shoot and really only guns that shoot well.

So other then a few that I have had since I was a kid, don’t shoot them much, they all get shot.

I guess I'm some what of a safe Q. I have some that I have not shot.
And a few goto guns. I'd hate to guess the number of rounds through
my 39 A.

Only reason I don't shoot more is time. If I had time I would shoot every gun I have twice a week.

But if I sold all the guns I don't shoot I could buy a smaller safe. I just don't have the time to shoot that much, but I still love having every gun I own.

I am no more compelled to sell a gun I don't shoot than I am to buy a gun because I want to shoot it.

All of my guns get shot all of the time.

I used to be that way but realized I got more enjoyment by expanding my "fun money" through selling and acquiring at a faster rate than collecting alone would permit.

I love older Remington shotguns and generally have a few that I have not personally shot. If I find a deal on a nice Wingmaster or 1100 they tend to follow me home. That said unless it was a gift/bucket item rifles and pistols tend to get sold if not used.

Only when I wear my Kilt, all by my self.
In front of a mirror. Or my Slingshot.

Can't afford to have guns I don't shoot. If I could, I'd have safes full I am sure.

Would probably have sports cars I don't drive, too!

If you store Hi Point pistols that you don't shoot, does that make you an UNSAFE queen? Asking for a friend...

I have a vintage war rifle collection and none of them are beyond shooting. I try to make the effort to get a few of them to the range monthly to run rounds through them. A couple of them I have a hard time finding ammo for them (6.5 and 7.5mm) or it's expensive to shoot them so they rarely get shot. Sometimes it's a hassle to pull one out and just put five rounds through it, then clean it and then move it back into the safe.

I have stuff that I bought over 40 years ago and have never shot and probably never will. I buy toys just because they need a home.

If I do not shoot it or do not like a firearm, it is gone. On the flip side of this topic, I have bought several firearms in near mint or excellent condition because of Safe Queens.
