I'm getting closer to my wish to be a member of the range at Wagram! Talked to a nice young man about being put on the list for membership. Money is put aside.
With a bit of luck, I might be shooting there soon and contributing to the sounds of gunfire rolling across the woods near my house! (Though not much noise from the range lately.....hmmmm.)
If guests are allowed, maybe I can take my cousin there when they come to visit!
On the same getting closer theme, I'll be going to Fayetteville soon to rent some guns and shoot! I'll be able to decide which gun to buy next....very exciting!
Now back to the survival forum to continue catching up!
 
This list for membership - are they restricting membership to a certain amount and youre on a waiting list or what?
 
Money well spent, I've been a member at our range for 9 years now.

YES! Training, training and more training.

I have been shooting for more years than I care to relay and have been an instructor for a minute or two, yet I continue to take advantage of every training opportunity. There is always more to learn.

There's apparently a certain amount who won't renew in the fall, so I'm on a list to take a spot if one opens up. Of course the list might be really long....
Not sure why there's a list, the town it so small we have no traffic light, but maybe the range is so cool that people flock from the surrounding areas? Lol. My "source" hasn't told me much beyond how to contact the renewal guy. Feels very clandestine! Top secret!
Anyway, I really want to get in there, because it's so close to home. I can hear the gunfire at my house, and before they fixed it, my cousins had a few bullets fly thru the woods here! They had to reorient the lanes, or build the berm higher, I forgot what the issue was.
I'll be going there a lot, whereas if I have to drive a distance, I probably won't.

Working on that too! Lol. I'm getting an instructor plus rental guns from the suggestions in my metal thread!
I'm hoping to find a winner soon! Can't wait!
 
Looked up the gun show in Raleigh.....doubt it'll happen for me.....too hot out. But there's one in November too, much more my speed! Lol.
If it was in a big concert hall in summer with AC, I'd be there! Outside....not!

And apparently the gun show isn't outside...i just assumed "fairgrounds" was outside! I've been informed its a metal building with AC! Sounds hot to me!
