CCW Julian Price Park

Parkway is good to go so I don't see why JPP would be any different. You just can't carry into any buildings, which I don't think there are any at JPP. We used to go there all the time when I was at ASU. All the girls would be there sunbathing in the spring!

GTG. I open carry up there when I hike. And I've dealt with and passed rangers who I know saw the gun.

The only buildings you need to be aware of are the gift shops at Moses Cone, Linville Viaduct, and Linville Falls. They have park staff offices, so no carry. The kayak rental shop at Price Park is not park run or park staffed.

Are you hiking or paddling?

Thank you.

We’re just tent camping for the weekend. Totally forgot about kayaking. Duh.

Sweet. Give it a shot. Also, just before sunset head south on the parkway to the Flat Rock trail. It's about 30 minutes total hike. Take a flashlight. Head otu to flat rock and you have a clear view west of the sunset from the rock. If sunrise is more your thing, try Beacon Heights facing east. Rough Ridge trail is very popular but a great view from the top. If you try fishing the lake, small yellow flies. Smaller the better. There are so many bream in there they are all pretty small.
