Not into football for around thirty years so had no clue who he was till he made the political news. From what I've learned I believe he he was a young and easily influenced guy following his conscience and using a platform that was available to him. Much louder than a soap box in front of the court house and smart enough to see he had a opportunity to do what he thought was helping more then just himself. When it was seen how much exposure that platform was getting, it and he were manipulated further to play a game much older, bigger and more important than football. The us against them game.
His agenda wasn't against the anthem, the flag, the military or the country. It was about injustice. Originally sitting not kneeling as if it were more personal. But that was distorted quickly by those with agendas of their own. It is all so distorted it's like a circus now and we're schmoes for buying into it.
I don't totally buy into his agenda but his freedom ends where mine begins and that hasn't been violated. He was on the clock, which I disagree with but I'm not his employer.
