When dealing with squirrels I've been tempted to do the same. Maybe some cyanide laced acorns, or a bird feeder loaded with #9 shot, or leg severing ground traps (let's see the little bastards climb a tree with 3 legs) or an electrified corn cob on a feeder. I really don't care for the little sh**s....

First rule of booby traps is: You do not talk about booby traps. The second rule of booby traps is: You do not talk about booby traps. Third rule of booby traps: Someone yells "Stop!", goes limp, taps out, the booby traps is over. Fourth rule: Only two boobys to a fight.

Actually...the first rule of booby traps is...they're not legal.
 
A friend of mine, close to 100 years old, told me that when he was young and newly married, someone broke into his house and stole some guns. He booby trapped the room that the fellow had entered, through the window, because he was sure the fellow would return. Told his wife not to go in there, and left to do some errands. When he came back, he found that his wife had ignored him, and had been in and out of that room. For some reason, she did not trip his trap, and nothing happened. He was mortified, and never did that again!

Ooh illegal. Eff that. Makes me think of the thread about the cop going in someone’s fenced back yard and the shooting that resulted. He could have just as easily stepped on a Punji pit. Something tells me if there was a significant risk of consequences, or even if he thought there was, he wouldn’t have gone in there.
