NFA pic thread

haha does it still have paint on the tube? Around 50% of mine has wore off after shooting it for a few years.
Yeah the finish is fine, so far, I just picked it up this week.

My old Bowers CAC22 can is ugly after I jail broke it using a pair of slip joint pliers on the end cap. I did clean it up a little by spinning it in the lathe after reassembly.

I've looked at this little gun for months @TARHEELSTATE. Well, yesterday I finally gave in to temptation.

He's got that 6.8 SBR w/ suppressor on the wall that I'm still dreaming about...
He has a lot of things on the wall that I dream of. The post sample mp5 full autos make me jelly.

Now, you weren't able to take it home were you?

I mean, it's in NFA jail now, right?
No reason for that pistol to be in jail. The silencer may be...but not the pistol.

Yes sir.

Its heavy on the SBR, so it will be getting a different one (which was the plan anyway). On the 308 it does set it off balance some, but it still needs optics so I am hoping that will help. Its not too bad on it, but damn Im ready to shoot it!

Optics shopping now, but probably not going to buy until after Christmas, looking for deals!

I have the 7.62 version. It is definitely beastly, but I really like it on my 300blk sbr. Considering the majority of my hunting is out of a box blind and the rifle rests on the brace below the window, the weight isn't an issue.

This is the 7.62 as well, and I haven't shot it yet on anything so I am interested in how it will perform. The 300 is the wifesw and she said it was heavy, so we can brace it and see how it goes for her.

I'm really looking forward to shooting both, both guns are completely unfired.

You should be pleased. The Specwar 762 is about as quiet of a can as you'll find. Most people just want something lighter and shorter.

Put new optics on today. I realized I need another few BUIS today.

Finally got this can done, so I removed the Spectre. Looks waaaaaay better with a 1.25” OD can than a 1”.

6” barrel. 6.25” can. 50 rounds. No mag sticking out of the bottom. Will probably move upper over to a pistol-configured lower and this one may spend a lot of time riding in the truck with me. Add one spare mag and that’s 100 rounds without much extra to carry.

New F1 can also happens to be a perfect fit for the 15-22...hmmmm.

Was getting some stuff together for the range in the morning and snapped this one. Dual two-stampers. 100 rounds of 5.7x28. The AR57 with stock collapsed is ~1” longer than the PS90. I’m guessing the SBA3 will shorten it up at least a little?

If you hate it you can sell it to me.

You're going to put a brace on a SBR?
I could.

But I’m actually putting a brace on a pistol lower I’ve never used (that currently just has a straight tube with a foam cover) and moving the upper over.

While I'm at it... I go back and forth on this upper. 300BLK is quiet and fun and packs a punch but damn it is not very accurate in subsonic form.

What subs are you shooting?

Sellier & Bellot 200gr

Barrel is a 10.3" Ballistic Advantage Hanson
I have some of that but have never shot it. Thought it was supposed to be better than the 220gr Rem and 187gr Gemtech. I think I have some Hornady 300 Whisper as well, but not sure of the bullet weight. I don’t shoot my 300BLK stuff very often.

Took this one tonight getting a couple things ready for Cans & Coffee at PBR-Mooresville in the morning. Posted it in another thread but figured I’d put it here as well. A 4-pack of 2-stampers.

6” AR57 with Form 1 can
4.5” 15-22 with Spectre II
7” 9mm with Octane 45
10.4” PS90 with Omega 300

Threw this one together this afternoon.

• Aero lower with PSA MOE LBK (previously had my 6” AR57 upper on it)
• PSA BCG/CH I had leftover from something
• Mas Defense 7.5” upper with their Riot Brake (ordered it on Saturday, arrived today)
• Arisaka finger stop (thanks @Will)
• Dagger Defense DDH-B reflex sight (~$40, but gets great reviews...jury is still out on it at this point)

It’s roughly 24.5” as pictured...including brake and stock collapsed. The question will be what’s more annoying, this build or my 16” Beowulf with the tank brake. Anybody willing to meet me at PHA on Sunday (weather permitting) can shoot both and see. :D

I don't know a lot about rifles, yet. Pistol guy. But I do want a rifle, something off the shelf would suit my wants for fun and needs for the home.
I'm just curious, how much did something like this cost? If you don't mind me asking.

Can’t remember some of it since I’ve had it for years. But a lot of it would be less expensive these days.

Aero lower - can’t remember, but should be easy to find a price online
PSA MOE LBK - I think I paid ~$179, but I’ve seen them for less than $100 recently (or buy a complete lower for way less than I spent on lower and LBK, probably half or less)
BCG/CH - can’t remember, but should be able to get one for $100 or less on sale?
Upper - on sale for $179, Brake was +$40
Optic - $40
Hand stop - maybe $20?
Tax stamp - $200
Engraving is horrible, done before THSF offered the service, and was probably ~$30

ETA: you should be able to build that as a pistol these days for about half of what I spent.
