Hi guys.

I'm trying to locate some of the steel Winchester 9mm. Trying to get to the range Wednesday, so looking to locate some at a Walmart around Wake Forest or at the Walmart in Mebane close to the outlets...

Anyone seen any around those locations? I haven't found any the last couple trips to my Walmart...

Thanks for the extra eyes!

Look on Brickseek:

the 50-round box UPC is 020892224148
the 150-round box UPC is 020892222151
Mebane's zip code is 27302

Multiple boxes of both sizes are shown as available at several local Walmarts (6 x 50-rd @ $8.24 and 4 x 150-rd @ $22.97 at the Mebane store). It would probably be a good idea to call to confirm availability.

Find an Academy. They carry it in stock... At least around here there is always a case worth on the shelf. It is hit or miss at the walmarts for the Winchester forged steel. I think there is an Academy in Apex.

Thanks guys. I wish that I had an Academy closer... I have to go down towards a Raleigh.. Maybe I'll check my distance from the Glenwood store.

I'm still a bit irritated... I found 300 rounds of the Winchester steel cased that I wanted at my local Walmart... I stood there, rang the bell multiple times for help, then went to the CS desk asking for help. 20 mins of my life gone and no one ever came to sell me ammo.

It's Christmas and they're busy, but NO ONE was avail to help after 20 mins?!?!

Irony is that I even tried calling Carolina Gunrunners to check their price, but the line was busy.

Lesson learned... Buy more, more frequently. I'm relatively new to 9mm so I'm just starting to stockpile.

Darn...

If you're ever in the Huntersville area, the Wally right off 485 exit 23 is usually well stocked.

As others here have suggested in the past, a box here and there and before you know it, you just need to replace what you use to maintain the level of inventory you're comfy with.

If I need help at a Wally, I just harass everyone in a blue smock that walks by until someone with the keys shows up. Get half the staff working for you and you can make it happen!

Just curious, I haven't looked recently, but the last time I looked at 9mm at a Wally, the brass was cheaper than the aluminum, I don't recall any steel case there. Was the steel significantly less?

That's it! Ok, ok, I was off by 19cent/box, my bad.:(
You were probably correct about the price at the store where you were shopping; local stores frequently have variances from nationally-advertised prices.

Tula/Monarch is around $7/box of 50

probably more consistent than anything else listed in this thread.

If I can't find 9 on the way to the range tomorrow, I planned ahead by loading 350 rounds using my Dillon press...love that thing!

Starting immediately, I will begin stockpiling 9mm. I have piles of every other caliber I shoot...just not the 9. That changes now.

Thanks guys!

From what I hear at that WW you'll be using half the ammo you just bought to get out alive.

Too soon?
But I live ~2 minutes from there, so call me if you need backup. :D

Pard...how does this work if you ship? How much per Thousand shipped?
No tax to be collected to S.C.? Maybe help with the shipping???
Thats a great question. Truth is Billy, it would probably be cheaper to buy online. Shipping would be actual cost from UPS. I dont have a deal on shipping. Not even sure how to estimate without actually going to the hub

Geezer is checking on freight. If it is ever so slightly more than Lucky Gunner you know we would rather order from you. Freight will tell the tale but we are close to 5K rounds for first order.

I would say its about $1/pound, and a 4K order would be about 160lbs. I get it, that would raise the ppr to $.20
The ATF needs to hurry TFU and get my license back. For 5K rounds, I'll deliver, pants optional
