It’s gunna rain ...

And please make sure you salt the roads, my truck hasn’t rusted enough.

We need to salt the roads every time the weatherman takes a swing at the weather because, well, who the heck knows.

Everybody bitches about it but I don't see anyone jumping up to DO anything about it..... moan, groan and bellyache, pull the trigger.....

Hey! I do a rain dance all the time. Rain or dry....it's fun. Besides, sometimes I get a few likes...most times not. But, I care not. I can and do shoot in the rain if I want to...naked or not!

Anybody remember a time when the ground didn't squish when you walked on it?

Oh wait, I do, it was when my tomatoes absolutely needed it. Tired of this damn winter rain, summer drought pattern.
1986. Hot as hell and the damn truck I owned didn't have ac.

I drove for 15 years before I had a car that had working AC.

Heh, I remember driving to work in Rock Hill one day in July, sat in traffic for 2 hours and when I got there, my bag of grated cheese in my lunchbox had melted and reformed into a blob block.

Whacha wanna bet if we COULD do something about the weather we'd never be able to come to a consensus about WHAT we wanted it to be and we'd just sit around arguing like we do now with politics..... I know I'm looking forward to THAT...

better close the schools.

No wonder kids can’t handle anything and their worlds must always contain unicorns farting rainbows.

I get what you're saying. The schools around here are VERY quick to pull the plug for marginal weather. It's aggravating for sure.

My kid's school was closed yesterday for rain and a little cold. I thought it was crazy until I got out of the house and saw how many cars were in the ditch from black ice. I learned to drive up north, so I have a fair understanding of driving in snow, but nobody ought to drive on ice. Especially around here where the "ditch" could be a 100' cliff. When I learned to drive, if I slid off the road the most damage I'd do was a torn up bean field. So, I'm not upset about yesterday's call (though it could have just been a 2 hour delay).

There was nothing here at all but rain.

My only contribution is to note the insanity on the roads this morning: NC 50 was blocked up in Northern Wake/Granville due to accidents; tried two other routes - both backed up trying to get to/cross NC 98. Ended up taking 105 minutes to get from ~ Oxford to downtown Raleigh that normally takes 50 mins.
