So I flushed the antifreeze from the drain traps and filled the water system. Found out both the shower valve and sink faucet were leaking. I rebuilt the kitchen faucet but decided I was ready to change it anyway. The shower faucet is a plastic piece of crap. Problem is it's an odd sized fixture...

Getting to the kitchen faucet was a pain in the ass... Had to pull the microwave and cut out a section of the drain. Used a no-hub fitting to reattach it in case I ever need to change/pull the faucet again.

Got the kitchen back together and I like the new pull out sprayer faucet...

Pulled the old shower faucet... The new one is going to require drilling out the old hole some. Might need a plate or something to center it...

Should be able to get it done this week sometime. Gotta have the Ol Pilot ready for The Morris Family BBQ camping trip weekend...

I can sympathize. We just dewinterized our a couple of weeks ago for the first trip of the season. Now I’ve got heat on in it because it’s still dipping to just below freezing.

Last fall, on the last trip, we stayed at a place with too high water pressure and it burst the toilet and shower valves. I had a guy fix those, which were easily accessible at least.

I'm taking my trailer out for the first trip of 2019. The town of Windsor, NC has a campground right on the Cashie River. I can put two fishing kayaks on racks above the Tundra's bed and still tow the trailer. Weather looks great. Hopefully I got it winterized well enough and won't find any water leak surprises.

I don't think I have to worry about freezing anymore in my area. Even at 32-30° it's never long enough to thermal soak and to freeze up at this point. I will never hook up to park water, even with my regulator. I fill my tank and turn it off. The 12v system works fine and won't burst anything. I may have overdone the air purge when I blew out the lines in the fall. Think I will disconnect the fixtures next time and blow just the lines...

I typically disconnect the line from the storage tank to the pump and put a line into a gallon of antifreeze. Then I start at the closest line and run it till it comes out pink. Repeat till all lines are run through. I also drain and bypass the water heater. Haven't has a problem with freezing lines.
