Ok, let's hear all the objections and gripes. I already know some of them. Lol.

I went and shot 4 guns today, all 9mm, all ones I've shot before and didn't like enough to buy, for one reason or another.

1) M&P Shield
2) Glock 17
3) Glock 19
4) M&P (other name?)

I gave them all about 50 rounds, and I liked them all, and could shoot them all this time around, and then I weeded them out.

Last standing were the M&P and the G19. They each got another 50 rounds for the tie-breaker.

I liked The M&P, but extra capacity won. I know in some matches you're limited in how many rounds you can load up anyway, but for other purposes, capacity won. If I'm changing my whole gun "style" I'm going to get all I can.

So it's the Glock 19, which is where I began the hunt with Button and Ferrisfan many, many months ago!! I'm very happy with my choice, as I was with my other choices. This gun may not be the gun I'll use for the rest of my life, but for now, its right for me. Most important, I have it on me now, and I feel much, much safer than when I was carrying the KelTec .380. That is worth everything to me.

Now go ahead and start with the remarks, I can handle it. Lol.

PS It's new, it has 2 extra magazines, 4 thingies for the back of the grip, and a little loader.

Good job! Use the other guns for range toys. KNOWING what you're carrying will work everytime you need it to, is priceless.

If crap ever hits the fan.. youll find plenty of glock/ar/223 and 9mm stuff

The Glock 19 is likely the most commonly carried gun around. While I don't personally like them, there is absolute certainty that they're going to do exactly what they're designed to do.

Just to show you that opinions are as many as the people you ask and that these kinds of questions leave the asker more confused then not, I’ll give you a few more - - -

Glocks work. They are dependable. You pull the trigger they go bang. They are accurate in the appropriate hands as with most guns.
The triggers may have to be learned but they are not bad by any stretch.
As long as I can, I’ll always own some because they are great tools.

As a side note I am always taken aback by folks who can't leave well enough alone.
Glad you got it, I don't like them. Just be glad, or can you?
How was your steak, "Not too Bad". Well, glad you could choke it down. I never heard that "Not Too Bad" thing in my whole life til we were covered up with Yankees.

Seems like a good decision to me. It'll probably serve all your needs (while also costing you less to shoot than your .380 or .45).

But, your comment about capacity confused me. As far as I know, the G19 magazine holds 15 rounds. The M&P Compact (at least the 2.0 version, both 4 and 3.6") also holds 15 while the M&P 9mm ("full sized", both the original and the 2.0) holds 17 rounds. This makes me wonder what M&P you tried today.

You made the right choice. I was struggling between a 19 and 26 and ended up with a 26. Then I thought well maybe I should have went with the 19 but that is so close to the 26 so I bought a 17. Guess what I’m about to buy now. If you said 19 you’d be right. Just trying to figure gen 4 vs 5. I dont like the carve out on the gen 5 so may go with gen 4 like my other two.

There's a lot of folks on here that can help you remove them, to include your friendly SC rangemaster.

To me the groove either fit you or they don't. For me they are not an issue. If they were I would get a Gen5 or better yet a mint Gen2.

I won't own one because it's ugly lol but glock19 has proven reliability. It's popular for a reason.
I like the minimalist look of Glocks, always have. No problem with its looks!
We all know it's not as sexy as a 1911, but I'm fine with that. I'll still have the 1911 and the p238 and admire and enjoy, but this will be the work-horse.

Thank you Baby Jesus...……………..
Ok, is this for:
1) me finding a gun?
2) me ditching the thumb/grip safety?
3) relief that you don't have to mess around with the 1911 any more?
4) the mule finally turned?
5) all of the above?

I hope to see you soon, before it gets really hot!

I have owned and currently own a glock(s), as stated they do exactly what they are suppose to do when needed. They take alot of punishment and keep going with very little having to be done to them.
I will most likely give it a lot of work to do, as it's going to be my range gun, carry gun, and I hope my competition gun. I'm sure it's up for the challenge!
