Ebony & Ivory - I LIKE STEEL . . .

The gp 100 in 10mm arrived back in January and it's quickly become my favorite revolver, I'd never really given three inch barrel revolvers much thought until I read some of the post in this thread, now I actually prefer them

Will you give us a report after shooting it?

I just got this one yesterday. My first impressions are favorable. Steel dovetailed sights front & rear , SIG #8 sights I hear tell. Shoots to point of aim for me. It has a decent trigger for a pistol of this category , better than some I've owned from "name" manufacturers.
I did have a couple failures to fire with some steel cased Winchester ammo , changed to brass case ammo & it's been running fine.

It can use Glock 43 magazines.

Takedown is different , remove magazine , lock slide back , remove slide back plate , then unlock the slide & push it forward off the pistol.

Thanks for that. So, taking it down that way means no excuse for not cleaning the striker and channel?

Went to the PO and lo and behold. A grin came across my face. Couldn't wait to get home and put it together. The gun is a Factory Unaltered AA easy open frame with a factory unaltered AA 357 Max 10 " barrel. It wears a Wanre 4 hole, weaver style base, with Burris Signature rings and a Brand New Bushnell Elite 2-6X 32mm matte black Handgun Scope. The furniture is from High Plains and features a Pegasus Grip (been wanting to try one of these for years) and 2" wide flat bottom target forearm in Saphire Laminate. I think the purple pops with the AA frame. Have 200 rounds of Remington 357 Max brass and will start load development shortly. Have some AA1680 I am going to play with.
Thanks for reading and feel free to offer any "Pert Load" you might have. I have some 125,140,158, and 180 grain JHP to experiment with.
Thanks for reading and any and all input is welcome
Doug

Nice looking shooting stick! I love my Contender. Don't have any .357 Max experience however as my barrels are .357 MAG and .41 MAG.

About 700 rounds in at this point and I’m impressed even with justifiably high expectations. Haven’t fine tuned ammo but she still shoots much tighter groups than my Edge. A lot of that could be the extra sight radius as well as a narrower notch/post gap. It also has the best semiautomatic handgun trigger I’ve ever felt. Several experienced shooters have inadvertently doubled with it (myself included). Action is smooth as glass and the attention to detail lives up to SV’s reputation. Now I just need to get a holster sorted out for it and time to actually shoot!

Very nice Shorty 45!

That one's on my "to get" list.
Since they only made 662 of them, it was on my “Forget it, no way” list. ;)
