I got a new-to-me 15-22 and want to configure it (as much as I can) like its BPM big brother. I have never been a fan of the factory stock on either, so I figured now was the time change out both. My biggest complaint as been the lack of a good cheek weld but I also don’t want a huge stock. I kind of like the Magpul MOE SL but wanted to check if there were other options I should consider. So, what is the consensus on a good adjustable stock that has a decent cheek weld?

Awesome stock. If I’m running an adjustable this is the one I use.

If you don’t need adjustable, the Magpul fixed Rifle Stock is very hard to beat. This is what I run in my 3 gun rig.

Since my 14 yr old, my 19 yr old and I shoot these, an adjustable is a must. But I will keep the Magpul FRS in mind

The problem with the magpul rifle is you have to put a A2 tube and rifle length buffer and spring in it. They are awesome but it is extra cost and hassle

Its A1 not A2, no spacer ;)

So its a 1/2" shorter then the A2.

On that note, if you run a adjustable stock, but only 1-2 clicks out, look at the magpul fixed carbine stock.

I have the fixed carbine stock on two of my rifles. Love it.

Here is my 15-22 with the LWCRI ultra compact stock.

My go to stock is the Magpul CTR ... it’s light and locks up pretty tight. I really don’t need much cheek weld on my AR’s nor I don’t use larger optics that require a high weld on work carbines with a CTR. I did have a LaRue RISR on my Grendel when it had a CTR on it to give a nice rise in weld without really adding much or impeding the charging handle. Right now they have the a combo CTR/RISR combo for $75 which is a very good deal.

I have this on my 'precision-ish lightweight' AR and love it. Cheekweld with a 3-9x40 Leupold is spot on for me
