No... not THAT kind! :)

I am looking for a local beekeeper who may have honey for sale. I live in Nash County, and our farmers markets here are abysmal. I could go to the state mkt in Raleigh, of course, but that takes effort, and I am lazy.

I am looking to buy maybe 20 gallons or so, but would prefer it in 16 oz containers. Comb or no comb. Either is fine. I drive into RTP every day, so anywhere in the triangle is good. I am looking to buy at a price somewhere south of $15 per 16 oz jar, but if I got a good deal on bulk, I would buy in larger containers.

I am tagging @thrillhill in this thread simply b/c I think I remember him saying he knew a guy who keeps bees. If not, please disregard.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I AM NOT EXPECTING ANY KEEPER TO HAVE THAT KIND OF BULK FOR ONE SALE.

Certainly willing to buy in units of one gallon at a time.

Tans

It is selling for $10-11 per lb bottle around my area. If buying in 5 gallon buckets it should be a lot cheaper than that.

I’ve got a guy in Brown Summit that has a couple hundred hives, 90% on strawberry fields. That honey is amazing

We’d love more info!
He said he wouldn’t start pulling until mid/end of June. I’ll make a post when he does for those interested in some

Keep me posted, Brian. I'd like to buy some of that.

Same.

Nothin' better than good honey. We tried some organic/free-range/whatever honey local to Breckenridge, CO at a neat little spice & tea merchant shop while we were out there that was incredible. A case lasts us about 6 months or so. Lol!

My dad used to keep bees & had hives in my grandparents' clover field & a few in a neighbor's small apple orchard. Good stuff.

Sapony Something of another is local to me and I live in Nash County.

Try Deans Farm in Wilson too. Not sure where they get it but they sell local grown honey.
