A telecommunications service provider in north-central Montana will stop providing television services to customers this fall. 3 Rivers Communications currently provides telephone, broadband internet, and TV services to 15,000 customers across the state. However, on October 31, 2019, the company will stop TV services.

yes, that's Montana, but you KNOW this will start the ball rolling for those of us in the backwoods.

Dropped DirecTV a couple of months ago and put up an outdoor antenna. 58 channels. Antenna is run into an Amazon Recast OTA DVR. Have Pluto, Tubi, Philo and Sling (for now) for tv. Have a cell phone and house phone. Have the house phone out of habit. Debating dropping it. CenturyStink (for now) for internet and recently bought a hot spot. I'm good.

I watch maybe 2 hours of tv every couple weeks. If it went off and never came back on it wouldn’t bother me a bit

The TV in my living room hasn't been turned on in months. Even if I did turn it on, the only channel it picks up is PBS. Cutting the cable was one of the best things I ever did. I get my entertainment from netflix (cheap) and youtube (free)
