What have you recently purchased that is firearms related?

I purchased an AR15 upper truing tool from Brownells and trued my upper yesterday and bedded the barrel using Loctite 609. Let things cure overnight and took it out to the range today. The results were better groups by 30% to 50%! That was $60 well spent for the tool and the loctite (I already had the 220 grit lapping compound).

All targets at 100 yds.

Before truing and bedding. (1.87 MOA)

After truing and bedding (1.46 MOA w/my pulled shot)

Also after truing and bedding (0.94 MOA)

Yep. I was told by some so-called experts that bedding the AR15 barrel basically had minimal effects on accuracy ;)

Thanks for posting actual results.

As a 12 years old my uncle would hand my brothers or I a brick of 22’s and his Remmy Nylon 66 to wander off on an adventure into the MO woods.
Good times!
Just got one that my grandsons will learn to shoot with :D

We used to walk around town shooting squirrels and birds with 22 shorts at that age. Different world.

Pocket Pro II shot timer, Inforce APLC for the Glock's, a holster for the Glock/Light combo, and mounted up a Triji RMR on my Glock 17. Bought 2 AFG's from Geezer, and also picked up some brass from Butter last week.

I got 4 targets and a box of .45, and had fun shooting the 1911 and then the g19.

Also got to watch a little kid shooting a .45! That kid was handling the recoil really well! I was totally impressed. (A kid as in mabe 8 or 9.)

@ncav8tor it is pretty simple and straight forward. Here is a video describing it that I went by. The only thing I did different was use loctite 609 instead of 620. 609 has a lower melt temperature that I thought would make future barrel removal easier with use of a heat gun.

PM me if you have any questions.
