Just Wanted To Take A Picture

Just about to rain, got my snapping turtle lines in.

So I read your post, which elicited a couple questions. So I ask @Chdamn as he is trying to listen to his book on tape “Wouldn’t a snapping turtle just snap through the line?” To which he answered “No. Just like sharks can’t bite through their lines.” (He starts his book, again.). “But why would you even want a snapping turtle? Are they tasty?” He, completely thrilled to stop his book, again, says, “Yes. Some parts taste like steak, other parts like chicken. Are there any other snapping turtle related questions you would like to ask?” “Do any parts taste like snapper?” He reluctantly smiles. “No.” To which I reply, “That’s a shame.” I think I heard a faint laugh before he turned his book back on.

You really should teach him how to read at some point.. :D

I catch them because they eat my bass and swimming in the pond can be a bit unnerving with a bunch of 3' meat eating dinosaurs lurking under foot. It is a never ending process as they migrate/move around a lot. The biggest get shot and fed to the buzzards, manageable sized ones get dumped around the corner in Moores Creek. I don't eat them, so far at least..

You should really find someone that’ll eat them.

There is a market for them if you find some one to take them. I have a buddy that traps them.

Sacco and Vanzetti?

Was going through some pics on tablet today. Seems like yesterday my wife and I were there. Not five years ago. What a great trip!
