Smith & Wesson is a religion of peace.
Back in the late 90's I bought a set of tires for a pickup at Sears. They were overpriced, and the techs snapped off one of my lugs, but managed to get the nut onto the half a thread that was still left. It fell off a few days later. No luck getting them to replace the lug.
Since then, the majority of my tires have come from Braxton Tire in Hillsborough. They've always treated me right, and they've handled the tires for my last 3 cars.
On the mustang, I tend to replace the tires two at a time. The factory recommended tires for the car are every expensive, so the tech helped me to select a lower speed rated tire (150) with good treadwear characteristics for a lot less. I will never exceed the speed rating of this tire, so I'm good.
I'm not brand loyal when it comes to tires. I do like to stick to known brands though, just for peace of mind.
