New Zealand Prohibited Firearms Buy-Back Price List (I am out of Fs to give)

See....there's this part: "Notify the Police by registering your firearm/s online immediately at police.govt.nz"

Uh, what if you ain't got the interwebs? Maybe you live out in a cabin in the middle of the NZ wilderness. I think I will hard pass on that.

Obviously they are going to sell them or they wouldn't have a price for a used looking gun. The used gun and the new gun still spit out bullets at the same speed. So what they intend to do is NOT to destroy these evil things but to sell that evil to some other county. How fking hypocritical can you be.

I didn’t buy any guns from the government so how are they buying them back?

I think I big, loud piss off from the collective people of NZ is in order.

and on top of what you said, .gov is using New Zealanders own taxes to pay for the firearms. So, an individual paid twice for a firearm that .gov is going to destroy.

that's good - send them to the US - I am a buyer.

I was about to post the same thing; if the stated goal is "public safety"- who cares the condition, get it off the "streets" at any cost (rolls eyes)

Wonder what they’ll do with this piece of info after you voluntarily give it to them? Yes, I know they can likely get it, but they’ve just legally and willing handed it over to big brother...can we assume the gov’s gender anymore or is that not PC??? :D

When handing in your firearms and parts in you will need to provide:
o Your bank account number

Quick point...if they are collecting them to get them off the streets...why do they care about the condition? A poor condition Anderson can still shoot, a brand new anything can fail during break in. Seems like a flat price would be less stupid. It’s like they are trying to disguise the stripping of freedom by giving it the appearance of positive commerce.

Mossberg 500 - the most basic of pump action shotguns is on this list.

Just how restrictive did NZ get?!

$2500 for a CZ-52?
Damn I got took for the 2 I sold a few years ago.

Here, a registered STG is 4-5x what they’re offering which is odd since most of the other prices are the opposite

I guess they’re trying to make it “worth it” for people to turn the guns and mags in. Unbelievable. I hope they get skunked

I was thinking the same thing. I dealt with a guy from NZ a few years back and this makes me want to reach out to him and see whats really going down.

Bingo! Based on all the quantitive easing and free Reserve bank money right now all the money governments give is phoney anyway right? Surely being in the banking world you know how make believe much of our economy is. I think I laugh daily at the unemployment and stock reports. So if the gov had to pay 1 billion dollars for a PSA AR does it really matter? It is all false at this point anyway.

Yup, they’ll either steal it from the People to pay the People, or they’ll print it out of thin air (or these days, just put numbers in a computer somewhere). As long as everyone is willing to play let’s pretend the game goes on for another round.

Exactly! You can’t “Buy Back” what was never yours to begin with! That’s like me telling my neighbor that I’m going to buy back the piece of property adjacent to mine and give him less than market value for it.
1. It was Never mine to start with.
2. If I want to buy something from him, I don’t set the price!
3. They can go to Hell!

SMH...how long till someone in BST sees this and starts moving their prices up. Maybe some of them already have???:confused:o_O

Sooooo....... they've publicly made available a website that can be overloaded with a lot of fake registration data that make it's functionality otherwise useless?

You wouldn’t be suggesting to write a script that chooses random addresses (preferably of leftists) from there, and registers random gun(s) to it, and maybe run it from a system with a VPN exit node there in case they are watching for local IPs, are you?

I would never suggest that.

No, I was thinking more like police stations and military bases....

Sadly this may well be a preview of what's coming here. I'm old enough I don'y think I'll see it, but many of you may well. For once I hope I'm wrong.

Wow, do they buy from foreigners?? Do they buy in bulk?? I could make a killing here.
I SERIOUSLY considered hauling a bunch of mags up to Baltimore a year or so back and splitting the profits with a buddy of mine for one of these "buybacks" where they were offering inflated prices to "get them off the streets."

The stupidity of bureaucrats is proportional to their self-perceived virtue.

I think that is a math theorem or something like that I learned years ago :)

I think I remember that. They offered something like $25 each. I can get USGI mags for $4 when I buy in bulk. Could have made a killing.

Bingo. Or a botnet DOS attack that renders it useless

Funny how a shooter from another country has a shoot in your country , NZ, and the government want your guns.

It's not the guns per se, they want complete control of people. The guns are simply a possible complication that may let a people growing tired of control get some funny ideas.

"Why do we have to go through this when a foreign terrorist came into this country and committed a crime? The firearms owners are being made scapegoats."

Can Pay,,,LMAO, !!
An owner of a firearm not covered by the police list can pay a $120 fee for a valuation, but McKee said the Government should cover that.

The Council of Licenced Firearms Owners is exploring legal action over the Government's gun buyback scheme over what it says are unfair prices.

And council spokeswoman Nicole McKee said that while the council is urging its 40,000-odd members to abide by the law, some have told her that they don't intend to hand in their now-illegal firearms.

"Some of the offered prices for higher-end firearms are well out of kilter. We're talking thousands of dollars," McKee said.

He also planned to hand in any illegal guns and components that Gun City has. He had not done a stocktake, but expected to lose "tens of thousands" of dollars.

The scheme excludes business losses, but Tipple said that was "a fight for another day".

Police released an extensive list of guns, each with a price for poor condition (25 per cent of the base price), average condition (70 per cent of the base price), and new or near-new condition (95 per cent of the base price).

The list also includes gun parts - including magazines, silencers, open sights and custom triggers - with a different price setting: 70 per cent of the base price for new or used, and 25 per cent of the base price for poor condition.

Here’s the thing about their price list. I don’t care what dollar value you put on it. It could be infinite. It is still not worth it to the badge monkey that gets killed trying to enforce their stupid “ban”.
