No really, I'm super-serial!

HYPOTHETICALLY:
Regardless of the existing laws in your current jurisdiction(s), would you consider concealed carry? If so, would you do so everywhere (exempting obvious detector checkpoints)? And as to where you could not carry because of said enforcement measures, would you refuse to appear there, regardless of direction to do so? And if you refused, would you state why, with logical arguments to back up your refusal?

Asking for my best friend ...

And thanks for playing!

Some gunbuster signs like at the restaurant or mall I don't see or circumvent by using an unposted entrance, but other places, Sheriff's department or courthouse I obey the rules just depends on the place.

I did for Years.....Got my CWP in 1976. 22 Years ahead of general population. Before 1976, I carried Everywhere. From '76 on I carried Everywhere legally. After '96 a great many of the Rules changed. I can no longer carry Everywhere. Sooo, I am back to pre '76 rules.

In my old age, I'm too timid/wuss-y to disobey the rules, so I leave the gun in the car. I do try to avoid places I can't legally carry my gun, though....so far, so good!

I don't even own any guns!

BUT, if your friend gets caught it seems like the 2nd amendment and the Heller decision should have him/her covered.

A gun is a tool. Not the best, not the worst, nor is in the focal point of my self defense.

If i must be filtered buy detectors to conduct business in a "clean" environment. Its my fault a firearm was my only option.

Too many people focus on the "gun" as the only option, it is not. When a gun can not pass through a metal detector as a example, other options will. With the other options i am better defended vs the unarmed around me.....

I'd like to just be able to walk around everywhere open carrying... Like the old west. People are scared to death these days, of a man with a gun. Snowflakes! Ruin it for everyone. I'm always happy to see someone walking around, showing their freedoms, it makes me feel safer. Now if they're wielding it... Thats another story. Why hide it? That's suspect to me.

I'd rather people not notice I'm carrying a gun. Nobody thinks "granny" is armed, and that's good for me! LOL. They might try to grab my gun if I had it out in the open....or they might freak out....who knows what people may do? I just want to go about my peaceful, unassuming "granny" business unnoticed and un-molested. lol.

What would this hypothetical thing to make a person appear be exactly?

Just like my penis, I prefer to show my guns only to those I love and trust. And realistically speaking, I have, do, and will carry in places someone else says I shouldn't. That's not a flex or tough guy/keyboard warrior statement. It's just a reality - unless you can 100% guarantee my safety and the safety of those with me, I'll do whatever I can, whenever I can, to help ensure said safety. And I'll accept any consequences that come with that decision.

Some people ruin it for themselves without the help of snow flakes.

Yep, people do not think of “alternative uses” for everyday items. I laugh every time I think about the stupid little things TSA grabs at their “wall of protection” for flyers but let other things thru that can be used far more effectively. All last year my kid had tube socks and 2 D flashlight batteries in his backpack everyday at school just in case and not one fool there ever questioned him but a couple kids got written up for carabiner key rings because “they could be” used as brass knuckles even though you could get 2 fingers though them. Those in charge only see things that they are told are dangerous ... not the fact almost anything can be utilized as a tool if a person so desires ... if they did there’d be some idiot screaming for everyone to walk around in their underwear with everything chained down.

I'm sorry, I do not understand the question.

I'm too timid/wuss-y to disobey the rules...

Wuss-y is a term meant to describe males who lack testicular fortitude, and thus exhibit lack of toxic masculinity needed to face uncertain circumstances with bravery. Please do not participate in the appropriation of our, that is men's, culture.

<snicker>

There are very few things that "make" you appear in front of people. Court, DMV, stuff like that. You don't have to appear in front of a movie screen or mall.
And those are exactly the kinds of places to which I was referring.

@JT, a side question....how long have you - personally - been “into” guns?

"Into"? Over sixty years, but I got my very own first gun 59 years ago this coming September.

Huh. That wasseriously not a “slam” in any way, we just often get folks that are newly converted that hop on the forum and post a bunch of similar threads.

Glad to have you on board!
