Billy says I got to post a few photos of some handguns........................

I apologize up front for the lousy ass photos of this Nickel Colt Gold Cup. There is no one that loves a 1911 better than me. I have a few............. I picked this one up from Billy a few months ago. Browsing on GunBroker I saw some nickel guns, and took one of those notions... I have all ideas you know what I am talking about. Anyway, talking to Bill, we decided to send the Gold Cup down to Ford's in Florida and have it done. Got it back in my hands just today, and it took me two hours to clean off all of Billy's fingerprints!!!!!!!!!!!! They were delivered back to Billy and I swear he damn near rubbed the shine off......... HEH HEH...............

It is extremely difficult to take decent photos of a nickel gun.... I am sorry..............

Uh, there may have been a few of my prints and saliva on there, as well. I have never seen such brilliant color in that fire blue. Ford's does amazing work.

And a perfect home for them Ole Pard. Perfect mate with that Randall.
Oh yes, it took awhile to find the perfect home for those grips. Not just any gun could hold them just right........ Perfect matching Randall, yes....

Uh huh..... I know that crowd over there at the Oaks........ Probably more mixed up DNA on my gun than the lab can find........But rest assured, I have swabbed the gun completely and I am looking for all matching saliva, DNA and fingerprints now, rest assured, you will be held accountable when the evidence comes in..............

DAMMIT.....!! BILLY GOT COOKIE CRUMBS ALL UP IN MY COLT!!! LOL

While I am still waiting on the lab results in my search for DNA evidence of just who had their grimy paws on my Nickel Colt, I will show you my recent BirthDay Gifts, which also includes that same Randall Knife.

Back in the day I used to have twin Detonics, I basically wore them both out, and most of the parts do not interchange with these, as I recall anyway....... I got rid of both of them. This was of course Pre Officer Model and the Kimber Ultras that I love so good..........

Recently I took a notion I would like to find a good Detonics again, just to have one in hand. Once again, my Pal Bill always looking out for me...........

I could get used to having Birthdays with good stuff like this......................

This is a recent gun picked up from our Friend Bob. I had a little Kimber Ultra and carried it for many many years. Back before 2005 I carried it to Africa on several trips, back in the day when you would leave the airport in J'Burg, get to your vehicle and strap on. With a permit, that you get with your rifles and handgun, you could carry anywhere concealed in all of South Africa. 2005 they adopted more European type laws, and it makes it almost impossible to take a handgun, even for hunting purposes, its just too much of a hassle.

I retired that gun, gave it to my son Mark David, which he often carries it himself.

This gun is near the exact match to the old one. When I got it, something was wrong with the trigger. I gave it to Billy, and a week later returned with as good a trigger as you could ask for. Also, I had this plain jane set of elephant Ivory grips I have had for years. Many years ago I sent it to our friend down in Tupolo MS and he did the scratching on them for me, both sides......... Turned out pretty spiffy I reckon....but that Randall makes them all look good.... HEH........

Good stuff...as for the Detonics, well a fella is only 60 Once. My Pleasure. The trigger work was an easy fix...out with Kimber parts and In with Colt Parts. Shoot them in good health. We always talked about growing old and having Big Times. IT'S HERE!!

When it comes to 1911s I have many Colts but all are pre 1980 guns. I became a huge fan of Kimbers other than pre 1980 Colts.........

I have two of these Custom Eclipse guns, both full size. This one I inherited from a friend that passed a couple of years ago........

Recently I picked these up from our Friend Bob........... You see the little Ultra, but the other two are Commander size guns......I really like the Stainless gun quite a bit. The other one is fine, but I might change those grips out, not much on the camo grips......

I got it figured out William...... This weeks shipment to Ford's that is........... I believe if one of these is GOOD.....> Then Two of them got to be GREAT.......... I have another older Gold Cup that could use this same exact
treatment..............

Many years ago when we were working with Helicopters, my Pilot and good Friend Billy Rutland presented me with this Kimber. Basically commander length slide and Ultra/Officers grip...... Interesting gun.........
I later put the Crimson Trace grips on it.........Shoots great......
