Levi Strauss Sticking with Gun Control Push Whether Customers Agree or Not

From the article: The Free Enterprise Project reported that “leaders of the clothing manufacturer stood their ground, telling shareholders they would continue to risk profit and the company’s future by pursuing what they refer to as a ‘values-driven’ business model.”

Silly me. I thought managers' (leaders'?) main duty is to maximize shareholders' value. Strategies that harm shareholder value in the short run might be acceptable as long as value is maximized in the long term.

Isn't this the opposite of what a 'public' company should do? If I had stock I'd sell it immediately.

I believe so, yes. The company appears to be owned 70% or so by institutional investors. If I were a fund manager and heard this garbage from management, I'd divest immediately. The stock already got a downgrade to "sell" status from Goldman Sachs. That, along with a few mutual funds dumping shares, could tank the stock pretty hard.

That video reminded me of many Dark Souls III moments - including the gravity death at the end!

If you count the best part of a game by how long you spend there this is the best part of Dark Souls

And I never got anywhere near the end. I'm my foolishness I bought the remastered DS3 as my first one, which I didn't know had been tweaked to be even f***ing harder than the standard version.

So let me get this straight, a for profit company is going to "stay the course" on a values approach business model that targets a population that typically isn't about spending their own money on items.....

Do they expect the government to offer these jeans as handouts? Are these the new socialist jeans?

Gubment Jeans! Wouldn't put it past our glorious Fed.

I recently discovered Carhartts and love them a lot. Great fit and hide my gun well.
You have a gunwell?! I want one! Surgury or bolt-on? :)

I like the original line of Carhartts, the ones with the double front/knee panel, but balk at the price on my cheap days. I mean, who needs to bend at the hips or knees for the first six wearings, anyway? They've since put out some plush pantaloons that proudly sport the label but don't last worth a damn.

Some time ago in Hipsterville, Carhartts became a fashion thtatement. I once spotted an Eastern Bearded Popcultor thriving in an Ingles habitat in his tinder plumage: a taupe-ish thrift-store sportcoat and spotlessly clean new Carhartt leggings... I'm glad Mom taught me not to laugh at folks in public.

While I like Carhartt for their durable construction, they're starting to wade into class warfare with their hunting camo commercials.

Deluth's Trading Company makes the best jeans I have ever worn, and never worn out. Carhartt is/was good but they've let their quality slip a bit trying to compete in price.

Haven't worn Levi Strauss anything in 20 years thanks to their celebratory embracing of the .15% sexual deviant population that makes alot of noise.

Have the same if you mean DS3 "deluxe" - I think "remastered" is only for the original DS. But, yes, they buffed and nerfed here-and-there to be sure. I've gotten clobbered pretty badly - probably not the best game to start out using a console at 58 years of age! But man, I love the game and the lore. That and watching well narrated "Let's Plays" is a lot more fun (and far less expensive) than going to catch a film.

Yeah movie theatres are insane these days. I love the Dark Souls vibe but the game itself routinely kicks my arse. I'm not a whole lot younger than you and was never much for those attack counterattack ritual sort of games. For Honour left me cold for the same reason.

I love my Carhartts but they aren't very consistent with their inseams.

Also I'm too fat for my only pair of Levis; off to Goodwill they go!
