While I was waiting they had on the TV spectrum (!) News, which tries to look like the other ones. Now, what is important is that Senator Tillis was on record stating his support to red flag laws. I will try to find a recordable recording for that, but there it is.

Duh. I would be more surprised seeing who's not supporting them.

Red flag laws is only a start, next will be magazine capacity as a compromise not to go after semi auto rifles (for now until the next massacre).

Email & call Tillis the !&#*^#!!

Of course he will. So will Rubio, Graham and most of the R’s. Maybe the Freedom caucus will hold out but the rest are too corrupt, ignorant or blind to toe the line.
TELL SEN. GRAHAM TO REJECT ALL GUN CONTROL

We need to remind President Trump to stay true to the 2A supporters who put him in the White House

Sen. Graham has said 'with due process', unlike the foolish 'red flag' laws that have already passed
that have no hearing and with the stroke of a pen, a Judge orders your firearms and confiscated.

He needs to be replaced ! RINO

We'r already know that Democrats define "extremist" as anyone who disagrees when.
Many Democrats believe that anyone who wants to own a gun is too crazy to be allowed to own a gun.
Only people that don't want guns should have guns?

Red flag laws allow anyone to have the home id anyone they don't like raised by police based on completely false statements.
Red flag laws never have safeguards to protect the innocent or punish false accusers.

Due process has a different meaning to me than it does to Mr. Graham. I think he is on board with red flag laws. And with any huge powerful bureaucracy it will at some point be abused by incompetence or corruption. Screw that.

at 1:20 Sen Graham speaks about what his proposes.

Problem with his proposal, the left will demand INSTANT confiscation,
not to wait for a hearing in seven days. I also do not see the need for 'grants',
states have enough of our money.

Tomorrow I am sending the following letter to all my representatives, including the President:

Dear ______:

When you accepted your office, you swore an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States. The Second Amendment states that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. I believe you know why the Second Amendment is there, and it’s not about duck hunting.

You have a duty not only to vote against any bill proposing to restrict citizens’ access to firearms, but to vigorously defend the Second Amendment against any such proposals. I expect you to do your duty. This extends to so-called red flag laws which are egregious infringements on the rights of citizens on several levels.

Semi-automatic weapons have been around for more than a century, but the mass shootings are a fairly recent phenomenon. The guns are not the problem. What has changed? If the American culture is restored to its traditional values, the gun violence issue will take care of itself, along with other problems. This is where I expect you to concentrate your efforts. If you stand firm on this, the people will stand with you.

Sincerely,
_________

Very well thought out and worded but at this point it will fall on deaf ears. Tyrants ears. I’m thinking about sending them all a picture of my big white hairy ass instead. It’ll have the same effect but make me feel better.

Due process, as understood in the Constitutional context, requires a conviction for loss of Rights.

I would say Senator Graham can go suck on one, but I suspect that he already does.

I would never tell a man of his importance to kiss my ass. So he can slurp my buttocks.

NORTH CAROLINA SHERIFFS WANT TO DECIDE IF YOU MAY OR MAY NOT CARRY A GUN

Look at the updated (Nov 2018) Gun Laws handout on the NC AG's website https://www.ncdoj.gov/getdoc/19be62...2/2-6-3-6-3-Concealed-Weapon-Reciprocity.aspx

Specificially pages 5 and 6 which allows in certain circumstances to look back further than 5 years. And it discusses what "Good Moral Character" is in such a way that to me it seems a Sheriff can make that mean anything he wants it to be in order to deny a permit.

Some places like the Rowan Sheriff website still have the 2015 Gun Laws pdf which did not have the added wording of the 2018 version and no one I've talked to will say which one is the official version. Which leads me to believe that one way or another the politicians are going to do what protects their interests and sell us out in the process by continuing to mislead us with empty promises.

That is a guy that wants to please all and keep getting elected.

If he's the republican nominee, how many will still pull that lever over any other dem or independent (if one even runs)?

I will vote for anything that breathes over Tillis to see his political career end.
I like your stance, that youre willing to stand up for your beliefs.
Curious how many others will do the same because "this election is far too imp.... eh, you know the drill"

A majority will for sure,... you can bet on it!
What are your thoughts, if you dont mind me asking.

Im independent, but lean right. Ive voted for a couple of Dems, but I'd say over 90% Republican.
Im not scared of voting democrat if the republican is garbage, and Thom, to me, doesnt seem like a good choice.

But how many will vote him again only to complain how "He's a RINO, but at least he aint no Dem!"

I am no fan of Tillis, but he is running for re-election. If he thinks it might help him get re-elected, he will at least give lip service to the Second Amendment. Therefore I have just written to him this morning to remind him of his sworn duty to uphold the Constitution, which includes the 2A. I will probably vote for his opponent in the primary, but it is still more productive to make Tillis understand how many of us feel this way than to just bitch about him online. Other opinions are, I am told, available.

Tillis is taking a beating on social media. I will not write to him because he doesn’t read it. I spread the gospel about his voting record where its productive.

I've been in the same boat as you for the most part. But I've been trending lately to doing more write-ins or just not making a choice at all.

Speaking of Tillis, contrast his current support for gun control with this old campaign commercial back when he was running for the senate......

Just because he got an NRA endorsement doesn't mean much. And the reform they speak of..... wasn't that where the additional doctor stuff came in?

Our state Republican party officials dropped the ball to let this pin headed, two faced jerk off make it past his local school board. Between those guys and the sheriffs association we won't ever make headway

He does not read it but I bet a staffer reads it and checks a mark against red flag laws if there are enough checks he will change his stance !!!!
