Military Memes

Looks like stoopid levels of fun, but water seriously freaks me out. I'll walk off an aircraft & into the sky any day of the week, but I don't do water.

LOL, that's how I felt about 'sky' things (i.e., airborne). I had orders to jump school, and miraculously (after calling the schoolhouse begging) a slot came up at dive medicine.

During my brother's first tour in Iraq, I sent him some mouthwash, that being on the list of things he said he could use.

I went to the grocery store and checked out the selection of mouthwash comparing only color, then went next door to the liquor store and did the same and came up with a suitable match.

I went home, poured the mouthwash down the drain, filled it back up, replaced the seal with a little tape and put it in a box with toothpaste and toothbrush and filled it to the top with packing peanuts. I was counting on the human condition of laziness that any inspector wouldn't want the static clingy peanuts to clean up.

He called later and thanked me for the care package, said he now had enough - about three bottles - and asked what flavor it was.

I told him agave. He had a WTF moment. "I could get Court Martialed!" (He was NCO.)

I think he used it for pogey bait.

Let it never be said that I don't support our troops.

The sheeple don’t understand what type of personality is required to willingly go into combat. The “rules” and “laws” are just things to figure out how to get around when they are inconvenient.

I remember driving a Bradley around the Diyala Province wasted on 7% beer from Copenhagen because QRF needed QRF, so off we went. Got the job done too!! That’s how 11b rolls.

Thing is General Order #1 of no drinking is a self imposed regulation. Many times in Arab countries we were allowed to drink. Remember Bright Star 85' in Egypt we had a full pallet of Budweiser, 2 cans a day.

CD
Yep, I remember the 2 beer days; always wondered what happened to them since 2003.

Engineers take “EVERYTHING “ but the kitchen sink, including the Bar!
