Movement to Overturn the 2nd Amendment

Bring it.
Bring it now, before I get too old.

Let's say, for the sake of argument, that they are successful......and one of the first ten amendments to the Constitution becomes null and void.

What does that mean for you and me?

Not a damned thing.

The Second Amendment is a restriction on the power of the State to disarm We, the People.

It's not a permit. It's not a gift to the People. It's not the granting of a Right.

It is an Express and specific restriction upon the power of government to infringe upon a natural and inalienable Right that exists outside of the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.

It is a right older than these United States.

We don't have "Second Amendment Rights."

We have "Second Amendment-protected Rights."

This is not semantics, but a difference of polar opposite philosophies.

I posted this to keep you guys ever vigilant to do what is needed to guard our freedom we have to be in that mindset at all times never slack up or say I will call or email the legislators later do it now. Talk to friends, family, coworkers, and heck even strangers let them know there is a war raging to destroy their rights, and always persevere my fellow patriots.

Well, unfortunately removing the 2A would seem to mean that all the existing infringements could not be challenged as unconstitutional.

Not a dammed thing? What are you smoking? The only thing it would not affect is an immediate organized revolt. Otherwise it will affect everything regarding what you can do with your guns. Try going out and spending a day at the range with all guns banned. Then you can let someone else take over your wife and family.

I would argue all that case law would be invalid, giving that the basis upon which it was judged would no longer be valid.

But that would be a discussion to be had in the aftermath by those who survived.

Going out to spend a day at the range?

If the Second Amendment is repealed, both you and I will live on the same gun range called the United States of America.

I don't want that. I would imagine neither did a bunch of folks in the 1770s.

But I also understand why the 2nd exists. And I remain under the obligation to an Oath from which I have never been discharged.

I understand and agree with most all of or at least parts of what ya'll are saying. Please, remember, everything we say can be used against us in The Red Flag era.

Most of us are screwed in that era anyways..... it will become a tool for disarming political dissidents. Which many of us here are.

If it be treason, might as well make the most of it, as they say.

Scared sheriffs don't have the manpower to do anything anyway. Magazine registration and stuff up north? Yeah nobody showed up / bluff called.

Sure they would make some examples like when Metallica had the Feds crack down on Napster. Arrest a few old ladies and some 8yos...

Otherwise I'm starting to think this is a silly topic to debate. The only items you'll LOSE are the ones you GIVE UP.

We're going to make a damn libertarian out of you yet......:D

I've never been afraid to speak my mind and I won't start now. The worst they can do is send me to Heaven.

Amen..it is a directive not a suggestion

When guns become outlawed,I will become an outlaw!
The fact that the government would even consider repealing the second amendment is the very reason for which it was written.

The government did a study that showed if only 10% of the armed citizens or people in militias were to revolt that they would win due to the fact that most law enforcement and military personnel would defect to the peoples side....it wouldn’t take long either.
