4am West Charlotte just of I-85 ... not someplace I be unarmed (and if I could a vest).

Eyewitness News Anchor Genevieve Curtis asked detectives if they were familiar with Harris and Stafford, and they said no, but they believe the pair might be connected to other crimes they are now looking at.

Officials said Harris was charged as an adult with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, and armed robbery from person.

Police said there are no charges at this time for the patron at the gas station, but there will be an investigation and it will be sent to the district attorney. They said the investigation will determine if self-defense was justified.

The two robbers apparently are not choir boys ...

Hmmm ... as long as the shots were not in the back it should be no question ... but it is Charlotte. I will also make a “race card” statement ... I hope the CHP holder is not white cause the 16 year old that died does not sound white ... “Qwanterrius”.

They said the investigation will determine if self-defense was justified.

Freudian slip perhaps. A jury, if needed and seated, will determine "justification." The DA can only decide whether to prosecute based on "the investigation."

Not their first rodeo, I'm sure. One paid with his life and hopefully the 2nd will learn his lesson and remember that bullet he took. I said "hopefully", I'm not holding my breath though.

Does NC charge accomplices with the manslaughter if their partner gets killed in the commission of a crime?
If not, ought to.

They'll probably wait until the DA clears the victim in this case, but yes.

Hahahaha, NOPE. He will be back to avenge his homies death.

Anything about what a good kid he was or how loving and kind he was or that he might have fallen in with the wrong crowd?

If I recall my law correctly, under the Felony Murder Rule, if you are involved in a felony and someone dies, then you are culpable for the death. It may not apply in this case, as it is usually in cases where two people are commiting a felony and one of THEM kills someone, then both are responsible. Not sure it if applies if one of the offenders is the one offed.

It has been applied if someone dies of heart attack or is killed by the police.
It can easily be applied here too.
Charge as an adult. 50 to life.

Nah, they'll plea him down, release him on probation & holler for more gun laws when he kills somebody.

The second little puke that got shot is not even in jail. The magistrate let him leave with his mama, some kind of thing where she signed for him. The judge even questioned why he was not in jail. They were probably just on their way to vacation bible school and that man shot them for no reason.

This is truly an example for gun control. The CCW holder should have had better gun control to improve his aim.
