The Gun Shop off Hwy # 9 before you get to Little River, SC. Was going to check them out today, but my son wasn’t welcome in the store, nor was I as concealed carry was banned. They also say they subject customers to on person search of self / bags and vehicles.

Guy came out when I was taking pictures.

This place is a no go for me.

Did you have a conversation with the guy?

Did something happen that motivated this strange policy?

Sounds like any gun show Ive ever been to
Gun shows is because of the venues. The actual vendors/ dealers didn’t make the rules, most don’t have such rules at their own stores. I can’t remember going to a gun show I couldn’t take my son to, or where my vehicle is subject to search.

I really dislike the fudd gun shows, don’t go to many anymore.

I completely agree with stores that have a leave your gun holstered rule.

I will never darken the door to that place!! Thanks for the heads up!!

Is that the real name of the store? I tried and could not find it online anywhere. Address maybe?

I think they are rather new, not sure how long they have been there. I stopped to eat at this place
https://chrispizzaandpub.com/ Which is awesome but the way, and they are in the same strip mall. Longs, SC address. The Gun Shop has a big sign on HWY 9 in front of the shopping center saying turn here. I also couldn’t find the business online.

Looks like it is in the Parkway Plaza, in Longs, SC.

Call (843)999-3360 and see who answers ... it’s an ATT cell phone number out of Myrtle based on the 999 prefix though.

Nothing new. When Triangle Shooting Academy in Cary opened a few year ago, they also put gunbuster sign, aren't they still have it?

They want to search my vehicle too? Can I drive it in to the store?

Seems like someone is looking to go out of business.

It also says "No concealable weapons allowed" not "No concealed weapons allowed". The wording there is a little odd.

They also wont sell you a bottle of gun oil (or anything else from the gunshop) without giving your name. I’ll never darken their door again.

It’s in Raleigh near the airport.

That’s the SC sign required by law to ban concealed carry on the premises in SC. http://www.sled.sc.gov/SCStateGunLaws1.aspx

In SC they have specific sign laws, unlike NC.

I found a shop that I had driven by a few times when I didn't have time to stop, but made time the last time I went that way. A small place on SC 178 in Liberty.

I walked up to the door and saw the gunbuster sign. I did not go in.

There is another with the same sign just off 123 in Easley. I don't know what either look like inside. Shops like that are dead to me. Do they even know who their hoped for clientele are?

Are y’all at least letting them know why you’re not coming in?

No, just a all guns must be in a case.
Concealed carry no problem.
You can't use your carry pistol if it is concealed,
has to be in a case.

They don't search vehicles at gun shows.

my focus was on the thread title, no CC
apologies
But they can/do search bags at times
Dont forget the 21 part, gun shows allow that, you should have mentioned it...

Maybe<>May be.

Maybe they meant "maybe" as in "perhaps?" Longs is along a major route into Myrtle, but I doubt the shop will be there long. The traffic is mainly vacationers, and lots from out-of-state for SC.
