Gun Store Banning Concealed Carry

That there is a sign of someone that now thinks they are better than their customer. A mister know it all that can protect you better that you can.

That is stupidity in the business world. The store just told 80% of customers, they need to survive, they are not trusted.

I would not go in if I saw that.

It's got to be one of the most unwelcoming business facades I've ever seen. He doesn't give you any reason to go in, like "Glocks on sale" or "We carry hard-to-find ammo". Just a bunch of rules you have to read through. And all that red, white, and blue completely obscures what's inside, like it's a massage parlor or tattoo joint. Won't be there long.

He's been out there for about 3 years. He was robbed once I think on New Year's Day. The came through the ceiling. That's all I know, I've never been.

As it turns out RS reminded me he was robbed during the last hurricane Not NYD.

Good luck keeping the electric bill paid for the "gun shop".

my focus was on the thread title, no CC
apologies
But they can/do search bags at times
Dont forget the 21 part, gun shows allow that, you should have mentioned it...
Yup. Took our kids with us to a gun show when they were teenagers. They loved it.

My sons always went with me to gun shows from the time they were 5 or 6. I think most shows stipulate no unaccompanied minors are allowed.

I take my 8 year old daughter to gun stores all the time. I’ve bought tons of Pmags and smaller items because she wants to go in, and then she charms the workers and they will give her a glow stick or sticker or something, so I then feel the need to buy something since we are there.

is a holster not a carry case?
I would say no because the firearm is exposed vs being inside a case.

At TSA a customer had a ND at the counter, sent a round into the door to the range lanes,
their range so they make the rules.

So I notice the hours;
Tuesday-Saturday 1000-1700

After reading all that other stuff on the door, that pretty much seals it for me that I'm gonna be dealing with some operator's inside.
2nd..I gotta give him credit for posting all that crap right in your face. At least you know where you are.
And 3rd...what is that small badge lookin decal on the window. Right of the door..

Cause the sign says they can search you and your vehicle.

I’m not a lawyer but I did stay at a holiday inn once... lol zing
I don’t think merchant privilege extends to a car in a parking lot.
In a store if a merchant whiteness concealment of merchandise they can detain you and search you ( argument against use the fourth amendment has been brought before the supreme court and failed) for their property. But I don’t think they can force you to be searched with out your convent

So he can ask, you can refuse, and he can tell you to leave.

I don’t care what your stupid sign says or store policy. You lay a hand on me and you’ll like lose the hand and the functionality of the arm it’s attached to.

His store, his rules but I’m not going in. I honestly want to know what they think gives them the right to search your vehicle? And to what purpose?

Actually if they managed to get in my vehicle to search it that would be a car jacking and met with force. If he has been in business for three years then he is probably retired and this is recreational for him. It would be difficult for a gun shop to survive out there anyway, let alone one that flips off it's base.

Last time I went to gun store like that I turned right around at the door. I won’t buy guns from anti gunners.

I would think if I were a business owner, in the business of guns........... I would want a sign like this adorning my business:

ESPECIALLY if I had been robbed. Whisky Tango Foxtrot is that guy thinking?

Believe that's a VFW and on the other window an American Legion. No NRA, no Glock, etc. Somebody said he's been in business three years. Hard to believe.

I remember the news story of a shop in Longs robbed. I went in another gun shop on Hwy 9 about a year ago. It was one a little further up. This guy is on the back row of the strip mall. Maybe he moved locations? I don’t know.

Just thinking, if ATF opened a front store what do you suppose the front door would look like?

It would probably have a sign out front asking for a Gunsmith that can convert to Select Fire needed, you know, like they post on this forum.
