Gun is a sig mcx, will suppress it shortly.

Ammo is expensive, but so are 180-220gr bullets.

What a crappy time to need to stock up for a new caliber, but please let me know where you’re getting bullets.

Thanks
Jim

300BLK is a fun caliber to load/shoot! There are tons of options.

I shoot mostly supers, 125gr Speer TNT (15c ea). If you’re OK shooting lead, there are a bunch of nice options for subs like leatherhead and Palmetto. Don’t bother with the Rainier plated if you happen to find them anywhere, good concept poor execution.

Try Missouri Bullets heavy coated casts. I’ll split an order with you if you want cause I’d like to test them too. My supplier went out of business.

Eventually.

Cool. It'll pay for itself in the first five hundred rounds...

$1/# or so for lead nets 30 boolits per pound. As much as a tenth of the price... I cast/load 300 for about a nickel a piece...

What mold are you using?

Anyone know if those 245gr will run in an AR?
I’m afraid that they’ll be too long, but gonna try. Worst case I’ll shoot them from the handi rifle.

I feel your pain. I want to try 300 blackout but the biggest thing keeping me from it is having to load another caliber. That and I don’t want another gun that I can’t just grab ammo anywhere.

I tried reloading 300blk but not for blasting, for accuracy, and well, I suck at precision reloading. I would measure the charge for each round, but not do any brass prep other than to run them through the tumbler from the last outing for a little while, so they shot, but that was about it.

This was for subs for a Ruger American bolt gun, various 220gr match bullets over lilgun.

Anyone know of an accurate sub factory round?

Yes. I did some load work and stability testing first of course, but I have run them through multiple platforms and several cans. They are bunny fart loads I developed for my handi/bolt gun, but they function my AR pistol suppressed and unsuppressed as well.

Are you using gas checks? I'm concerned about lead loading an expensive can.

I powder coat some but mostly just tumble lube. I don't use a sealed can, but I do use gas checks for supers...

You can get a punch and make checks from soda cans too.

I love my 300BOs- have three of them now. And I finally got the rig to cut my own cases out of .223 rounds.
