Post Your Furry Friends...

Yes, she has a medical condition called megaesophagus. She can't swallow her food and has to be hand feed. Then she has to sit upright in her chair for an hour to let gravity pull the food into her stomach. She also can't drink water. She could drown. She has to eat water/broth mixed with gelatin mix. But she is a sweetheart.

Here’s Kiba, my mini Aussie.

Ms. Paisley sitting in her Bailey chair and her brother Jake climbed into the chair beside her to sit with her. She has to sit in her chair for an hour after she eats. So we pull her around to the living room and Jake likes to sit there beside her. View attachment 144250

Did you build the high chair for her?

No, the shelter gave us the chair when we got her. We had adopted her brother a little over a year ago and back in June we found out she had been brought back to the shelter twice because of her medical issues. It broke our hearts and we had to go rescue her.

Our opinion of you just went up a notch.

You are now at one notch:D.

My best friend developed that as well as pancreatitis and was literally starving to death because he couldn't hold food down. I lost him earlier this year.

Wow! That is a huge commitment. Kudos to you for giving her the care she needs.

It was B2G1 toys at Pet People today. Got the princess some kind of sheepskin fuzzy bone, a Philly cheesesteak flavored nylabone, and this pseudo-BFL shape ring with three squeakers in it. We just back in from getting soaked on her after dinner poop walk, and she’s shaking the ring and running around the house with it.

So, I have two dogs. A Chihuahua and a Dachshund. My ex wife was going to send them both to the pound. She decided, after our divorce and a year or two to think about it, that she no longer wanted any reminders of our marriage. So, my son encouraged me to take the dogs in. I had to build a very expensive fence and it changed my life forever. I used to take my motorcycle and drive anywhere without any responsibility at all. Then, I had the dogs. No more riding. They don't pay any rent. lol. They don't do anything..... But, love me unconditionally.

I dont mean to pry but it sounds like you did well to put her behind you. Those two would never abandon you at the pound.

Scotty last Wednesday ....
From dental surgery.

Something has gone terribly wrong though.
He's been up in Greensbore Vet since Friday.
He lost all his red blood cells and the whites are out of control. He passed out from lack of oxygen 5-6 times since then.
The are doing a blood transfusion right now because his body is not replenishing. On steroids, antihistamine and something else.
We go back at 6pm to see how it went and pray to God it's not an autoimmune disease .... And his body will recove on its own.

My heart is with you and your family. That is horrible. Hope your baby is okay.

The transfusion seems to have helped.
He should be at 45% pcv
He was at 10% this morning
Now at 24% after the transfusion
He get checked at 11 pm tonight and we pray the number is higher, or we’re back to speculating what wrong.

His tongue was white before.

This little gal has been at the house a few weeks now. My wife and kid found her in a parking lot in pretty bad shape. She was eat up with fleas and ear mites and had an infection in her eye. Best we can figure she was about 8 weeks old. I'm not much of a cat person but this one is a sweetheart. She's found a home.
