NORTH KOREAN TYPE 58

Sweet but one question, why full auto? Why would anyone want full auto, I mean controlling ones fire down range ( hits on target) seems more effective. What I trying to say if you only had 30 rounds wouldn’t it be more effective to put one round in a target and move to the next one instead of spay and pray?

It's more efficient for eliminating the Enemies of the State and their extended families in a stadium?

IMO, FWIW, etc. to me, full auto is for suppressive fire & if skinnies are comin' over the walls, you've screwed up somewhere & it's too late. I do hafta admit I liked the 3 round burst on the M16A2, though.

A million years ago, while attending the Ft Benning Academy for Wayward Boys, being super excited when we got to the M60. After having to clean the pig, I was over any fascination I may have had for machine guns & who the hell can afford to feed 'em? Not I.

If u have to ask, then it's not for u to know!

It's for tossing as much lead down range during combat... imagine 40-50 guys doing that.....the troops in the other side won't date to pop their head up to look around

If memory serves, the AK was designed with lessons learned at Stalingrad and other urban warfare battles in WW2. The Soviets learned that long Mosin Nagants were cumbersome, and when fighting room to room in bombed out buildings, a short carbine with the ability to spray a lot of lead fast was more effective.

The Soviets wanted a weapon that could perform similar to an SMG in urban warfare, but also have the capability to make single shots on man sized targets out to 300 meters or so.
