What are you drinking?

On Friday night, we have Friday night services at different people houses and tonight is mine. Not my best selection but it is OK. Going to be interesting to see how many people try the Old Grand-Dad. That is one from the 70's.

One of my favorites! A tremendous value. Even better if you can get it at the Class 6 at Bragg. Bought several last time I was there at $42 per. Yay! Enjoy!!!!

20190921_191743.jpg Reluctantly spent a few days with my BIL in Lexington KY, and as usual I kept a buzz pretty much the whole time. This was actually a recommendation from him and for once it was worthy. At 8 percent it doesn't take many for me.

Finally some nice weather. Drinking a little Bulleit, getting really to grill a ribeye, center cut pork chop and some Andoulle sausage while listening to Red White and Blues.20190922_184233.jpg

Quite the score!
Honestly, was disappointed in the Toasted Barrel. Last years TB Bourbon was much better. Don’t waste a good trade or pay any over retail. My $.02.

I wanted something different tonight (no Chad not that) and started with some Eagle Rare neat. After the first pour it was not what I was looking for. Started thinking what was in the bar. I usually do not go in there because most of the liquor is for mixed drinks. Then I remembered that I bought some Crown Special Reserve for my son's FIL. It was only a couple pours left so I finished it. Not really bad. For some reason I could not upload the pictures.

If you can find it buy it if you like vodka. Have not seen this in Savannah in years. Great out of the freezer

I almost bought some Bookers the other day. Waffled back and forth between that and some Bakers. Ended up with the Wild Turkey Longbranch instead.
Ive got a perdiem reimbursement coming soon, I think Im gonna grab a Bookers and a Bakers with it lol

Booker's is a damn fine pour.

Ive had it once before...I think I remember liking it, but it's been quite a few years lol. Same with the Bakers.
I got in a rut for about fifteen years or so where all I ever bought was Jack/Geneman Jack, Makers, Knob Creek, or Glenlivet.
Tryin to get back to my days I lived in Tennessee....as in me and a buddy tried every whisky/bourbon we could lol.

Tonight's mission. Clear some shelf space by killing off some short bottles.

There are a lot of short bottles on the shelf.

Might get hammered.....
Did that last night, finished off some pappy 12, been paying for it all day. Went to see joker and kind of wished I had just stayed home and drank more. Such a horrible movie.

I've been catching up on some vehicle and rental house maintenance projects today. Tomorrow I have kydex work to get done. I may be a bit hungover whilst doing it. Lol

I’m a big fan of Blade and Bow especially at the price point.

It's a solid bourbon. There are better bourbons at that price but it is a solid choice and one I tend to keep on hand.
