PHA Defensive Pistol Match Scores for Saturday August 24TH

I keep two lists of “must do” tasks.
1- free, non income, labor
2- stuff I have to perform for money

I seldom get to list 1 until I have finished ALL of the list 2 chores.

I am sure posting the scores is at the VERY TOP of Brett’s list 1 of his free labor crap to do.

I greatly appreciate a match that is designed for shooters, especially newbies, to test out their Every Day Carry gear. If you are really serious about competition then you should shoot against people with similar equip and skill levels like IDPA - it ranks/classifies its match attendees into forty (40) different groups. FORTY.
If you are shooting a Glock 43 with cover, what exactly are you going to find out with the scores? That a guy with a $2000 race gun/snappy holster and fancy mag pouches can REALLY kick your ass?
I really enjoy the PHA match, it is a fun match. That is exactly why I show up every 4th Saturday at PHA instead of one of the other real competitions.
At PHA you are competing against yourself and maybe 1 or 2 others with similar gear and skills. - if you care.

Preaching to the choir, sir....

I talked with @BAMaverick Friday about using Practiscore. Old man is stuck in 1990 with his spreadsheet
@2alpha-down0 we need to get him up to speed on it

Match Scores from Saturday 07/27
I had to put in a PDF because the Original File was corrupted When
I sent it last week. Sorry guys! I talked to John Royer about the scoring
system we used in the 2 gun match and I will get the tablets to get this resolved!!
Sorry again,
Brett

Saturday is a go. If you are a member of PHA I am looking to pass the torch! I am looking for a Match director to take over the Defensive Pistol Match.
If you are interested please contact me.

Thanks,
Brett

Another great set of stages. It got a little wet at the end, but we all survived.

Today, I was running a single stack sub-compact so there was a lot of reloading involved, and I am sure it will be reflected in my times. But, honestly this is the best type of practice!

Keep up the good work!

I got off to a bad start with a couple misses, but had a good time regardless. Until the rain started it was ideal weather IMHO, and still not horrible.

Does anyone know if scores are still being posted here? I haven't seen anything and I'm wondering if we switched things up to avoid the corrupt file thing happening again.

It appears everyone except you got a personal email with the scores. Must be a conspiracy

Hello everyone. Sorry to take so long to make this post. I will be taking over the defensive pistol match for Brett for the foreseeable future.
Right now nothing will change. Sign up will still start at 8am, safety briefing at 9:45 and hopefully first gunshot by 10.
With regards to September's match, it's still on so long as the weather cooperates. It will be five stages as before. I was already helping Brett with stage design but expect the round count to be between 100-125 rounds going forward. I am a firm believer that no one wants to drive out to the range, pay a fee, and dedicate an entire day, just to shoot a few dozen rounds. The match is still "run what you brung" all pistols are welcome so long as you have a holster and spare mags/moon-clips.

I will continue to post scores here as well as PHA's website. I would like to start an email list for sending scores out. Be looking for a sheet to provide that info in Saturday.

Isaac: Thanks for stepping in for Brett! “...a few dozen rounds”?.. You mean on the stage at the top of the hill of course!
