Voting for Trump

I'll never understand these never Trumpers. Yeah he sucks but you think Warren is gonna be better? Please join the rest of us in reality or move to the Philippines under tough-guy Duterte.

This is not meant to be a troll post nor judge anyone specific. It's simply a topic that continues to pop up everywhere. Two crappy choices / pick the least crappy.

Now, you want a good spoiler vote? Let's talk about this Yang feller!

I'm with you.

Many times we are forced to vote the lesser of 2 evils per se.

I do not see ANY options this time!

Trump's personality is 100% NYC. Anyone who has lived there knows they can be abrasive, rash and hysterical in my opinion. He's done some great things in my opinion after the BS of the previous 8 years. Could be a real big time if the CommieCrats would leave him alone!

Jusr $0.02 from an old fat man!

Its not even a question of the lesser of two evils. Warren is so bad even Facebook wants her in the trashcan. If you're a Democrat and mass-liberal surveillance / big tech doesn't want you? You got a big problem-

I believe it's worth noting that some folks voted for Trump not because they thought he'd be a good President, not because they believed him to be of good character and not because they bought all the campaign promises he made.

They voted for Trump because they had a hunch if he was elected, chaos would erupt, folks on the left and right would lose their sh*t, the masks would come off and true colors would be shown...

and they were right.

Ah yes, the annual match between the progressive candidate with an R and the progressive candidate with a D, and the presumption that one of them speaks for you, and the other one is against you.

And how THIS time it's just too critical, too important to hold fast to your principles, your morals, the fiber of your being.

There's time for that after we beat Oba...Hill, were, Warren or Beto or whoever the "worse" one ends up being.

Meanwhile, the debt continues to run out of control, the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 10th Amendments continue to be eroded, the Legislative continues to shirk their responsibilites of Article I in favor of th Executive, the Executive continues to balloon further outside the bounds of Article II, and the Supreme Court has become a political tool for solidifying unconstitutional policy under powers not at all contained in Article III.

By the time some of you come around to standing for something you believe IN it will be too late to save the Republic, because it will cease to exist.

Summer soldiers and sunshine patriots, the lot of you.

I recall someone, somewhere on a forum I read calling him "the murder weapon" and that's EXACTLY what he has become.

Pretty much...

If he gets re-elected in 2020, 2016 to now's gonna look like a church picnic.

If Trump had never been elected, I don't think you'd have seen the brazen honesty displayed by folks like Francis when he said, "Hell yes, we're gonna take your Ar15s and Ak47s!!!"

Not that I believe Trump feels any different. If he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt he could sign an EO, ban ARs/AKs and still get elected in 2020, he'd do it...I believe that down to my bones.

I have consistantly told my family that 2020 is a hunker down and defense your beliefs, yourselves, and your family year. And the RNC being in Charlotte should make for a nice front row seat

Agree.

The RNC is infested with just as many rats as the DNC...

I have nothing but contempt for either.

Exactly. Its not voting... its biding time.

EDIT: Jesus, the RNC ... I am going to take a week off work.
Hell no don't do that. You will miss the show. I'm bringing one of my 2 7.5" bundles of 5.56 joy, a D60 mag, my body armor and a 'have a nice day, commie' shirt every day.

Antifa should show up in force, but they had better not stray outside of the I-277 beltway

I would suggest getting a dash cam for anyone working in Charlotte city limits that week

If everyone who voted for the lesser of two evils would actually vote where they stand some good may come of it. But Fox News and CNN has told you that “it’s wasting your vote”, and “you might as well be voting for the guy with the other letter in front of his name”.
I’m becoming more of an accelerationist every day. Yang gang it up, spend the $1000 a month to buy preps and Ammo, and wait for shit to kick off.

Lol, I'll have about a 2nd to 3rd row seat, as I work right by downtown Charlotte.

Exactly. Which is why so many tuck their tails in the booth and put that "I Voted" virtue signal on their shirts to cover for their lack of fortitude.

The problem is We, the People have grown fat, lazy, and weak from 2 centuries of unmitigated prosperity with minimal sacrifice. We make men without chests and expect from them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst.*

When men cannot even find the backbone to stand up for themselves in a private booth where only they and Almighty God knows how they marked their ballots, would it be all that surprising to find them absent when it counts, to find they've discovered even more excuses to avoid being men of some consequence?

I have not voted FOR a president since Ronald Regan ... I have voted AGAINST their opponent.

I don’t like Trump and he has screwed us on a few things but if you do not vote or waste your vote in an act showing your dislike for the current GOP idiot and the Dummicrat wins we really get screwed!

In this boat. I voted against the commies and against the RINO BS (McCain and Romney the last 8 years). And then you trod out ANOTHER Bush, Rubio and the like? My vote was also a big FU and a middle finger to both parties.

I am personally a single-issue voter, so Trump is definitely no-go for me. I voted him 2016 and he is the biggest disappointment, even more than NRA with their recent clownery. For me he appeared to be worse than Obama for the whole Bill of Right and 2A in particular.

To tell truth, I am seriously considering voting democrats this time. Somebody as full of shit as Harris or Beto would be the best. That would give at least a little chance to wake the 2A swamp a little bit and force majority to stop hiding under rocks and to make choice to bow or to stand.

That was a big part of why I voted for him last time. One of the few non-libertarian candidates I've ever voted for. I saw that he spoke his mind, and didn't hold back. Seeing how much the liberals (and some of the RINO's) hated him convinced me if that many people that I don't like, don't like him, then I like him.

Not exactly satisfied with the job he's done, but he's made the liberals reveal just how nasty and crazy they are.

Also, during Hurricane Matthew, he sent a few truckloads of disaster relief supplies to help eastern NC, and he didn't make a big public fuss about it either. Not gov, money, but out of his own pocket. It was a small gesture on his part, but it meant a lot to the people who live there, and folks like me working in the disaster relief crews. For a lot of the people down there, it was the first time anyone that important ever gave them a second thought.

I haven't seen a candidate for 2020 that I would want to vote for yet but I have seen a lot of candidates that I would never vote for.

Who is the perfect candidate for the "vote your conscience" crowd? Is there one?
It was Ron Paul for a long time. Even at his age he'd still be a million times better than any person the uniparty is going to put out. Rand is ok, he has some of his dad in him but willing to play the game a bit more. John McAfee is a bit of a screwball but policy wise he's hard to beat, Max Abramson is looking like the front runner for 2020 Libertarian, Justin Amash has gone a bit lefty for me to go down that road.
