Voting for Trump

Exactly. Which is why so many tuck their tails in the booth and put that "I Voted" virtue signal on their shirts to cover for their lack of fortitude.

The problem is We, the People have grown fat, lazy, and weak from 2 centuries of unmitigated prosperity with minimal sacrifice. We make men without chests and expect from them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst.*

When men cannot even find the backbone to stand up for themselves in a private booth where only they and Almighty God knows how they marked their ballots, would it be all that surprising to find them absent when it counts, to find they've discovered even more excuses to avoid being men of some consequence?

Posting this again because it's a Hard message^^^ Cousin Jerry asked a crowd here about 5 or 6 years ago during America's DARKEST hour......What would have to happen for YOU to do something? It got Real quiet.

Again no real answers.

Just more yada yada about your not a man blah blah blah because you didn’t write in (who is it this time) so and so who can’t even get one tenth of one percent of the vote.

Lol, I don't worry much about that stuff at all.

Stick Man reminds me of the Cedric the Entertainment definition od the difference between Black and Whites.

White folks HOPE......Gosh, I HOPE nobody is sitting in my seat.

Black folks WISH.....I WISH a MFr would be sittin in my seat!

Stick is a Wish kinda guy...………….in attitude only.

It was Ron Paul for a long time. Even at his age he'd still be a million times better than any person the uniparty is going to put out. Rand is ok, he has some of his dad in him but willing to play the game a bit more. John McAfee is a bit of a screwball but policy wise he's hard to beat, Max Abramson is looking like the front runner for 2020 Libertarian, Justin Amash has gone a bit lefty for me to go down that road.
As long as libertarians support open borders my conscience isn't going to let me support them.

They were probably baffled as to why cousin Jerry wasn't out doing something instead of hanging around putting them on the spot?

I have an often-irritating president who gives me some of what I want — or who will at least sign some of what I want into law — up against a variety of options who pledge to give me nothing I want, and who promise to repeal the things I like. I don’t particularly like this status quo, but I prefer it to turning our already-too-divided society into an endless status competition of woker-than-thou (cribbed from Jim Geraghty, who articulated my thoughts better than I can).

WFB said he'd vote for "the most conservative candidate who can win". Show me the more conservative candidate than Trump - WHO CAN WIN - and I'm on board. Until then it's Trump all the way. I still believe we can beat down the woke generation at the ballot box.

Beto is just following the Feinstein program with a twist of Rahm Emmanuel.

You never let a serious crisis go to waste.
And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.

Everytime I read one of your posts and look at the Avatar, I can hear Wilfred Brimley saying what you typed. Entertaining!

Red is in much better shape than Wilfred.

I'm voting for Beano.

Lets get this boogaloo started....:D
People somehow think things will be better on the other side of a hot conflict.
I pray it never happens.

I was just kidding...……..war is not anything anyone sanely wants to be a part of.

Understood. I wasn’t picking on you, but not too many years ago on political forums, and here on CSF/C S C/CFF a lot of people would talk about getting on with a hot conflict to settle things, and it was clear that not many people thought about the fact that as bad as things are now, they’d quite possibly be worse off on the other side of a hot civil war, especially for our kids and grandkids.

So I just like to put that reality check out there every once in a while.

You are correct. But eventually the frog feels the 1° temp change.

My wife was asking me today how to contribute to the Trump campaign without contributing to the GOP. I told her to google The Donald’s website and I’m sure she probably could.

She’d have his babies.

Which I’m okay with,
if I could have Melania’s.

How would this work? Interested.....

Voting for Trump was like flushing a cherry bomb down the commode in middle school. It's not a policy issue; it's a blow the plumbing out and see what happens sh*tfest. The man is a loudmouth yankee turd, but I love seeing liberals die inside whenever he opens his mouth.

If it were back to milquetoast losers like Romney or traitorous POSs like McCain, I would have no problem writing in Ron Paul again.

If "Deez Nuts" would lock down the border, cut taxes, and get spending under control, he'd get my vote!

Exactly. I was voting for even the nutty libertarians until Trump came along. Just for the entertaining spectacle in DC, and maybe he would do some good. Couldn't be worse than Hillary.

He has wildly exceeded my expectations, both in how he has driven the left so crazy they can't hide it, and in what he has actually accomplished.

Ash, you would just keep him/her for a few weeks then sell it.

I think a more important question is: assuming a hot conflict, will it be better in 20 years with or without?

I'm with you, in that I don't want it to happen, but I fear Orwell's boot more.

All we have to look back on, as far as I know, is what happened in the south after 1865. My mom’s side of the family is from Charleston SC and that town arguably didn’t really recover from the effects of that conflict till the 1950’s.

Not that I'm advocating anything, just curious... Who exactly would be invading Charleston (to speak metaphorically, of course) in the event of modern-day rancor?

A coalition of upper-echelon Deep State Bureaucrats, Democrat Politicians, swamp-media types and LGBTQ? Under what flag? Rainbow? I'm actually serious. I don't think street thugs would do anything more than take advantage of the chaos to rape pillage and plunder, and in a contest on equal footing I question their effectiveness.

I really can't envision what it would look like. But I imagine those Citadel cadets who pointed that cannon at Ft Sumter probably couldn’t either.

The media would make fun of "rednecks" and there would be a skit on Colbert. But they wouldnt do a damn thing-

Who in the armed forces or police would be philosophically misaligned with those they were called to suppress? Some of the brass and fat chicks, but who else in their ranks? Firing on "slave owners" in what must have seemed like a foreign country, or "commie hippies" at Kent State was probably not as difficult, given the times.

I fully understand what you're saying. I'm just saying that I think an alternative of an entrenched authoritarian dictatorship is NOT a better option.

And frankly, if it's going to happen, I subscribe to Thomas Paine's words: "If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace"

I'm not as sure about the newer recruits. I've heard some nightmare stories from my son-in-law.

Several weeks ago I posted the contents of my letters to the President, Senators and Representatives reminding them that I and many like me expect them to do their sworn duty to uphold the Constitution, including vigorous defense of the Second Amendment. I got the typical mealy-mouthed response from the congressmen, but today I received this letter from President Trump, on engraved White House stationery. Now, I know Trump did not sit down at the computer and type this out, but I do believe he knows what's in it. I wish he'd included protection against tyrannical governments among the reasons for the 2A, but still a much better response than we are used to; I'll take it.
