"Slaughterbots",,, Smart Gun?

This almost reminds me of when I was a kid and watched what we called in that day "futuristic". We saw things that we never thought would ever be available but they were fun to dream about. Most of those things are actually in existence today but in an advanced form from what we saw.
The "bot drones" in the clip look very futuristic don't they???

Fascinating and scary at the same time

This is the argument against needing a firearm. "How can you hope to combat such a technology?" By finding and shooting the guys with the van for one.

That said, I think this will happen on a smaller scale within the next 5 years. Not necessarily with that level of tech, but flying a drone to a political rally or a protest.

Yeah go ahead and get your Part 107 license. You arent gonna see that video anytime soon but youll probably see a larger drone with an explosive device used in some sort of plot in the near future. Of course as soon as it happens it will become 100x harder to get a license... so maybe the old ones will get grandfathered in?

I'm amazed we haven't seen more weaponized drone attacks honestly.

If you look at some of the large RPVs folks build and fly on YouTube you could move a pretty large payload and probably get away with it.

One of the TV crime dramas had a drone mounted full auto modified Glock as the weapon.
The drone shown would have been smashed back against the wall when the first shot was fired.

Jamming, portable plasma cannon or portable EMP.

Desync, brownouts, bad workmanship...just to name a few, but hey, what do I know?
So these Homicide Drones are employed by any opposition party is one such scenario of what could go wrong.
Makes for a 007 Flick.
