Let’s try keto

Sometimes I use unsweetened tea to help head off the incoming headaches if I can tell they are looming.

If it get's bad enough to where I am afraid a Goody's won't help I'll use 2 or 3 drops of peppermint essential oil under my tongue.

I use the bone broth when I get in real trouble (keto flu).

But our bone broth is awesome and I know not everyone can easily duplicate it.

My wife uses squirrel, rabbit, chicken, and beef bones.

Cooks it for 3 days and cans it.

I keep two mugs and a six pack of the half-pint jars of it in the bottom of a filing cabinet here at work.

Microwave and stir if I feel it coming on.

20 minutes later good to go.

You still have keto flu symptoms? Usually it only lasts for the first few days/week.

Yeah, but I've been going at it for a year.

I've hit several "plateaus" and had to "reset" several times. I (and I think most folks) can't/shouldn'tdo 100% keto for that long a period of time.

Some weeks I'll run about 80% (ketchup on my meat, honey in my tea, etc) and then jump back into 100% and even that is sometimes enough for the flu like symptoms to make a comeback.
 
I got to my heaviest I've ever been at 225. I was tired of all my pants not fitting, looked like I was about to give birth any minute.

I drive a truck at night and as far as excercise? What's that word!!! Every night for dinner we were having rice, some sort of potatoes or pasta and a lot of time we were having bread too. On top of that the only thing I drank was sweet tea or Mt. Dew. The tipping point was a guy at work I hadn't seen in about 6-8 months, said "dam you got fat".

I have some dirty fantasies on how I want to die and it doesn't include being fat :D. So about two and a half weeks ago I cut carbs down to a minimum, cut down on sodium and quit drinking sugary drinks. We(my fiancee and me) have one cheat meal a week, usually on Saturday. I'm down to 210 in 2-1/2 weeks and I haven't exercised or changed any routine other than the ones I listed. I'm happy with my results thus far.
 
How do you guys keep the weight off once you get off keto. We did it for about 8 months and I lost around 60 pounds. It all came back after we fell off the wagon and haven’t been able to stick to it again.
