Its been a few years since Ive been. Used to take my XJ out there and always had a blast. Since the good weather is here, and Ive got a 4x4 again.. Im wanting to go back with the wife, but hate going alone... incase i get stuck or break something.

Anyone here go and want to go soon? Ive never done any of the crazy trails out there and dont want to in my new truck, but it should be fine for most of the park.

I haven’t been in years but just bought my son a 4Runner and told him we need to go out there. Mostly so he can get me home if I break down in my 74 CJ5 that hasn’t been on the road in a few years. 4runner should be ready to go in a few weeks. I’m shooting for early spring to have the Jeep on the road.

I have friends who ride regularly. Without armor , Expect some damage on Dickey bell and Daniel. And bring a good spotter

Isn't it deer season now? I don't think that I would want to be trail riding on public hunting land during deer season.

URE closes 15 Dec. Will your truck be back by then? Too soon?

I took my 07 Frontier out there when it still had 30 day tags and ran every trail (it was dry though), so your Pro4x will be fine. Be careful of your lines on the harder trails though or your trade-in value will plummet. If it has rained recently, all this goes out the window

Bow season until Saturday. Muzzleloader afterwards til Nov 15th. It will be fine....I've never seen a deer on the trail but I may have been looking for a pistol kill while wheeling ;)

I’m going out with a Toyota group Nov 16. I’ve been a couple times in my Tacoma with ATs, small lift, skids and sliders. I’ve done Daniel and a few others. Only once was I super happy to have sliders. That $600 paid for itself in under 1sec.

Never did Daniel. I don’t remember what all we did but I never felt like I was going to damage my Jeep out there

I don’t recall which trail it was but I slide into a dirt wall while asking too much of my tires descending down an off camber 18in drop. That clay is slick.
But we had people in our group with stock, no armor Tacoma’s that did fine too. Picking your line is definitely more important.

Agree 100%, we must have just stuck with easy trails, I wasn’t leading the group or familiar with the park. It was still awesome

There is a group there this weekend and also a veterans ride the weekend of the 11th
@jmccracken1214 , go to the veterans ride. Bunch of good folks that will welcome you.

I was going to try to attend as a shake down run on my pile, but I’ve conceded to the fact that I won’t be ready by then.
