I came across a smith Wesson (no dash) 44mag 4 screw from 1958. This comes with real ivory grips and very good condition. No box.
the store is asking $3000. Is this gun worth it?

I cannot, the gun is in my local gun store and I cannot start taking pictures of it. They don’t want everyone handling it if you’re not a serious buyer. I’m considering but to handle it for the sake of taking pictures is out of the questionDon’t know, but it seems likely that the most common response to your question is going to be “depends on condition, can you post some pics?”
Possibly, I get caught up with uniqueness and vintage pieces. I had never seen authentic ivory grips before. I’m an impulsive buyer, the lack of original box slowed me down.Nope. Not worth it to me at all. I doubt you'd ever recoup the investment.
If they won’t let you document it for purposes of getting a virtual appraisal, then I wouldn’t buy it. Asking them should demonstrate that you’re serious, and if they want to just provide the pictures you don’t need to handle it at this time.I cannot, the gun is in my local gun store and I cannot start taking pictures of it. For what they are asking I’d ask when they expect to get the letter of authenticity letter back from S&W describing how it was shipped.
