8 shot in Durham in less than 24hrs

I'm willing to bet that the majority of the shootings, drug crimes, break ins, etc, are all committed by a relatively small group of likely gang affiliated people.

While I'm not a supporter of Giuliani, his methods worked when it came time to clean up NYC. What Durham needs is a dedicated group of police officers who investigate and target gang related crime. They need to arrest those responsible, question their associates, and make the charges stick. Then the courts need to do their job and make sure the violent criminals stay behind bars where they belong.

I'm willing to bet that a few dozen arrests could drop the crime rate in Durham significantly.

Most every town of any size already has a gang unit. They can arrest them all day long but it does no good when the courts keep dropping charges and handing out early releases.

Still have some work to do in SE Raleigh.
 
The City should offer no cost training for the gangsters using simulators.
Once they realize they will be getting accurate shots at their vitals, they may think twice about shooing at a rival.
