It appears to be a Cessna 207. May be a 206, but I think that it’s a 207.

It's the bush plane my daughter flew in last week during her Veterinary Mission in Alaska to help the Yupik people and their dogs. There were five souls on board (a jump seat in the back held the fifth). They went to Bethel, Alaska, and from their took that airplane to Akiachak and Kwethluk.

Thank you, Jeppo! She had a wonderful trip. I told her before she left to try to get in the seat beside the pilot. She told her friends that she wanted to do that, and they all asked the pilot to put her there, instead of the back, where they put her on the other legs (she weighs less than anyone else). So, he put her in the right front seat. Then, he turned to the passengers and said, "You want to have some fun?"

He flew the trip on the deck! Never gained more than a few feet of altitude up the winding river, across the tundra, through a break in the trees... until finally he had to get some altitude at their destination in order to land at the unattended gravel runway. He just pulled up hard to a straight-in final, chopped the throttle and landed. They loved it!

Cessna Stationair?

Gorgeous!

That is a great place to fly. I got about 100 hours helicopter time in AK and I will always remember it.

The flies too!

Just wondering about the terminology... had only heard it used by now retired commercial pilot friend.....he did explain it....
Pilot-speak for how many people are on the aeroplane... without having to say how many passengers, how many pilots.

I got me pilots license before I got me drivers license when I was 16. ;)
Rode a bicycle to the airport.

I don't know if you've seen it @MacEntyre but someone has been flying a high wing single engine plane equipped with floats in and out of PTIA. I saw it for the second time yesterday.

I haven't been close enough to tell if it's a Cessna or something else.

I guess someone local owns it and flies it to a lake somewhere.

I’ve seen one over Lake Norman several times this summer.

If anyone got a photo with the registration number or "tail number" Google will link you to all sorts of information... i.e. what kind of bird it was... or where it has been flying lately... you can find out almost everything if you put a bit of time into it...

i.e. to pick a totally random registration number... for N254CS -
It appears to be a Cessna T206 stationair, flown to San Jose, CA on 9/15.

and I think it has a tan and beige interior... and the listed owner may be Antonov Andrey.
