Stinger concealment trigger guard. I don't know why anybody would want such a thing but it looks an awful lot like a vertical grip when opened. I wonder what the ATFs opinion would be.

That's what its sold as and I agree that it is but could some over zealous anti call it a vertical grip and therefore turning your pistol into an NFA item?

They could call it a grapefruit. It's not going to work as a grip so doubt ATF would see a problem. They would have to say, we don;t like safety features on firearms that look like other things.

Good point. Can't really tell from the pics. Pics on site show it in the down and forward position. Not sure if there's a detent to hold it in either. Just thought it was an odd device that may drift into that grey area.
 
I highly doubt they would ban a safety device nor litigate one. I do like it for purse carry. Not that I have a purse.
 
They can’t touch it cause doing so would be racist. This is for mexican carry.

Someone (TFBTV? the gun collective?) posted that it does lock into that forward position and the ad said something about using it to stabilize with the other hand. Their take was along the lines of "chinese companies don't understand our gun laws before making products", so they're pretty sure it's verboten by the BAFTE crowd.
 
What the hell is it good for other than trolling for Fed/Fudd?

That’s the whole discussion that went around a month or so ago about potential illegal AOWs.
 
Then there is the Chinese made "Glock Switch" and various "silencers" that are being sold on the interwebs. TTAG reported on the switch and the feds efforts to take them away from buyers and possibly charge and incarcerate them. I heard about the silencers from a 3rd party. Similar cost to become a felon.

As an engineer I look for root causes and solutions to problems. Problem with that site is they only accept payment by paypal. ATF notices a problem and sends paypal a request for a list of buyers and without even so much as a warrant Paypal rolls over. Solution: Bitcoin. Nothing gets checked in the mail . Too much volume of mail to check. You could ship a battleship through international mail and it would arrive at your doorstep.
