I was looking for a better way to quickly move my bipod from one rifle to another, or quickly attach/detach while in the field. The sling stud approach is kinda sorta quick, but I wanted a better option. And, I didn't want to spend $$ on sling studs when there was a single purchase option out there to be had. This adapter is pretty slick.

EDIT: Since putting this video together, I also bought a 5 slot rail section that mounts the same way. Now, I can mount/dismount my Magnetospeed in seconds without having to permanently add a rail section to every rifle.

It's the small things in life that make me happy!

Me too sir..…….it's the small things that make me happy as well. Not trying to derail your awesome thread here but I wanted to share with others and thank you for what I found after viewing the first video.

So awesome of your dad to gift the flintlock and take the time to effectively communicate a sincere message to the young shooter. You made my day Tim.

I have these on all my accessories. Vertical grips, lights, bipods, cameras, etc. love them. Only complaint is that lockup isn’t as tight as you may like and sometimes there’s a bit of play left but ease of moving items between rifles makes up for it.

and you just made mine...thank you.

Thank you sir...….and to shed a little more light on why that video of your dad was special to me you'll need to check out post #7 and #9 I placed in the thread below. I'm actually trying to do some of that with my grands and my children.

Nothing is making me any happier these days than seeing the joy and enthusiasm on the faces of those I love and want to know they'll take a small part of my life forward with them.

@Tim and/or @gaberelli, I picked up a couple of the kdg mlok qd rails a little while back and planned on using them with a magpul bipod. Well, finally got the bipod this evening. I have one 3 slot and one 7 slot qd , in your opinion if I’m just going to use it for a bipod is there any reason to go with the longer rail section over the shorter one?
Would the longer be any stronger than the shorter?
I’ve noticed that the longer section attaches a lot smoother and easier than the short one but other than that I’ve not used either.

I have a Harris bipod attached to a 3 slot. It’s been solid.

I use one with my Magnetospeed, that’s where I get the most use.

What’s wrong with a permanently attached pic rail and an ADM QD mount on the bipod? All of my ARs and bolt guns have pic rail sections (MLOK on one AR, CMR rail section on another, and Badger rail sections on the bolt guns). I have an Atlas with ADM QD mount and can swap the bipod in seconds and it locks up tight. Also have a Magpul rail-mount bipod that doesn’t get used as much but can mount it up with the 2 screws in 30 seconds or less.

For me, I don't like having rails mounted unless they are actually in use. When shooting from various stage props, they can get in the way.

Man, I wish they had this in Mlok to Mlok.
I could mount one to my Magpul mlok, then QD it to my AR mlok rail.

Mlok bipods are a hastle unless you plan to permanently mount it. Should have got the PIC version and one of these QD pic rails.

I like being able to mount the bipod quickly/easily for hunting or whatever and then having a clean rail after taking it off.

Makes sense. It is nice to be able to easily move a bipod from AR platform to bolt gun though. I don’t shoot comp so don’t run into your kind of issues.

Well....my bolt gun has an MLOK fore end! (although I mounted an ARCA/Swiss plate to it...)

Well MLOK for you all the way then haha. I only have one AR with MLOK and I do like the system. If I had it across more platforms I’d definitely run the QD rails.

My Magpul picatinny version requiring a rail section adds a good bit of height compared to the straight to rail MLok bipod.

I swap the mlok one between two rifles using a nut driver and it’s simple and solid. Easier than an Allen wrench for sure

Yeah, that's what I've been doing and it's fine. I just rarely use it and when I do it's basically just zeroing, so a QD would work for me.

But I see your point and if it were something I used a lot it would be the best option. I'll likely hold on to it as I do like it and it's not that big of a deal.
