Sportsman's Lodge opened their new 50 yard indoor range. Nice place. 4 benches, automatic target retrieval things, etc. You can shoot most any rifle there if you need a short range zero. They will bore sight any rifle you bring before you shoot due to some nincompoops that don't know there ass from first base. $15 and hour for members, $20 for none members. Great for no wind zeros on 22's.

I have no financial interest in SL, just a public service announcement.

Is it still in the same place? They had a bunch of trouble with neighboring farms some years back, closed their outdoor range (such as it was), changed hands (I think), and remodeled the old place. Last time I was by there, they were still hard to get to, the old barn was still rotting away, they opened a small storefront, and the prices had gone up. I started going all the way out to Windy Hill in Elkin. I'm sure things have changed since then. :)

I think the outdoor range has been closed for a long time.....15+ years. If I recall, they paved all of Dinkins Bottom road.

I've been looking forward to this, but $15 an hour? The pistol range is about the same for as long as you want to sit there.

The indoor range is 15 for the day. If the rifle is 15 per hour that sucks

The 8 lane indoor pistol range was added to original building. Also has the gun shop and the law enforcement simulator.

The rifle range is a new building. Nice set up. It's cheaper for me to pay 15 and 30 minutes closer than to go down to PHA just to sight in 22's and such.

The old outdoor range was a suicide mission. I gave it up when a family pulled up with a new AK and a case of ammo. Had no idea what they were doing. I was shooting and looked up and the dad was changing mags and had the effing muzzle pointed at my noggin. Never went back and I let the guy live.
