Some of you guys may enjoy this. Disregard the erroneous video title. Jay nails it when he says there are faster cars now but this has a more visceral feel. I want to drive it

Just watched that video an hour ago. Read about the car in Hot Rod magazine a few months back. Great story!

I was able to go on a tour of his shop a few years ago. It is absolutely unbelievable. Even more amazing than anyone who hasn't seen it even realizes.

There used to be a shop in Statesville that only restored old Mustangs. He would take old fastbacks and clone the GT's One day he was showing me around his shop and said he had a turn key GT 350 clone ready to go for 15K. I still kick myself for not jumping on it.

I built a 65 GT350 once upon a time....wish that I still had it.

It began life as a 6 cylinder automatic. I restored the body with NOS steel quarters and floors, complete interior restoration, performance suspension, 350hp 302 in front of a T5 trans using a hydraulic clutch. The 3.50 posi 9” didn’t hurt getting it moving i the right direction!!!

I miss that car... darn thing left my fiancée and I stranded the day I proposed to her!!! I’ll build another.
