I had my doubts about this place, they came through. AK parts straight from Russia.

What did you buy from them? Thought about buying from them but it seemed a bit risky. I saw he was selling stuff on the AKfiles, or his photos from the AKfiles came from that site.

Same guy on the AK files. I bought an RPK stock set from him.

Not bad. The hearsay is the Russian government is cracking down on mag shipments out of country, so we will see.

I haven't tried mags. I thought those were more likely to get caught in customs.

Let us know how it goes. Folks I've talked to over there have some clever ways of packing, declaring, and shipping things out. You're better off paying for and shipping mag bodies in one order, and then the internals in another. Pricier, but (allegedly) less of a risk of it getting snatched up along the way.

Speaking of such, are there any other websites around NC, besides this one, Armslist and Carolina shooters club, to buy AK guns and related items?

NCGO is technically still active, but there's not much of anything going on over there. Gun Swipe is another Armslist-ish classifieds platform with a mobile app, but I've never made an account. I've browsed but not seen much. Between here and CFF there are a decent amount of AK gun and accessory listings. I still have the best luck on good old fashioned sketchy Gunbroker.

Really? I feel like most of the GB stuff is out of this world priced.

Keyword "most."

If you're patient and clever, you can find some solid deals. Not to give all my strategeries away, but you might be surprised by how many people misspell things in their listing titles ;) Armslist can be good too, but I've met enough straight-up criminals on there that I'd prefer to spend a bit extra on shipping and FFL fees.

Copes Distributing is no more. Site is gone, filed for bankruptcy. They had less and less AK stuff as of late, but man I got some deals back in the day.

Try www.russtock.com. I have gotten good service from them. The truth is that a lot of the surplus stuff in Russia seems to be drying up. I supect part of this is due to the conflict in Ukraine. www.kalashnikov-usa.com carries and makes some milspec parts as well as the lovely little KR-9 I've been playing with lately. Cheers

https://ivantactical.com/ is another Russian-based site. There are plenty more out there. It can be tough to get stuff out of their country and into ours, but it's doable. Patience helps (so does cleverness ;) @88Mustang: https://www.carolinafirearmsforum.c...e-bicycle-parts-today-via-russian-post.39651/). Most of these guys are pretty shrewd about the American demand and market for this stuff, but I've scored a few decent deals over the years.

I've bought a lot through this guy. His daily deals emails are funny.

Any issues with any of your orders? I've visited that site a lot but it has a schizophrenic/bipolar feel to it. Lee seems like a crazy hoarder with a bunch of crap randomly sorted for sale, with prices all over the place.

I just ordered an underfolder stock from Apex Gun Parts. I'll let you know how it goes. It was the only place I could find one with all necessary hardware included.
Sucks ordering from a new place during the "lockdown." No idea what to expect for a turnaround time.

Yeah Apex has some wack prices sometimes but I’ve been ordering stuff from them for over 10 years, they are good to go.

Yes, but always in my favor. I ordered 25 bags of rivets and got over 30. I checked my order and it was just showing charged 25. The owner has back problems and gets on painkillers and makes fantastic email blast. I'd sign up to his newsletter just for the posts alone. One day he'll threaten to delete all existing accounts then the next day recant and apply a %15 discount on all items. I may seem facetious but I truly like this guy and will send him business indefinitely. YMMV.
