I was having a discussion with @Variable about new optics (specifically LPVOs) and we were wondering what store have the best selection of optics to look through before buying.

We ruled out places like bass pro, gander, prick’s, etc.

What stores in NC have you been to that have a good selection of optics (lpvos) to look through and handle rather than just taking a shot in the dark?

Most likely the Guntryclubs, TSA in Raleigh, Blackstone in Charlotte, etc.

If you have a Gander Outdoors nearby that you can get to, they also generally have a good 30-50 different optics on dummy stocks you can check out.

Great question. I'm in the same boat but I want to look through some high power scopes, like a Vortex Golden Eagle or NF competition. I can't recall ever seeing one in a store.

Your best bet to look through high end glass is to go to a match. Must folks are more than happy to show off their gear to other folks, and give you their opinion on how it's doing.

I can't read your coffee cup.

Accuracy though area saturation...

I have a couple nicer scopes if you're ever in central NC and want to check them out. However, it might make you want to spend some money.

I have a Schmidt & Bender PMII 12-50x56 on my Sig Sauer SSG 3000, and a Nightforce NXS 8-32x56 on my HK MR762.
