Run out of wiggle room

For what it is worth, I had to file for chapter 13 in 2013. That hurt a lot for a guy with a degree in finance.

Yeah I've been spared that one so far. Hopefully things have gotten sorted for you.

It is pretty effective at getting rid of debt for good, for what it is worth. But my self esteem has never been the same since.

Hey man sometimes life leaves you with no choices. I've been fortunate in that so many good people have lent me a hand and given me enough help to make it through this without having to sell my organs or something. Thought I was going to have to find a wig and a dress and head down to Bragg Boulevard or something.....

What ya gonna do with $1.:rolleyes:

In the late 80's I went through my first divorce. Even though I had a good job, I found myself with hardly anything. Went to visit my father, who rest his soul was a country boy with very little formal education but was one of the smartest men I ever knew. I made the comment that I was a total failure and at 30 years old had nothing. I had worked hard all my life and had not one thing to show for it and saw no future for myself. He got up and walked to the door and opened it. "You see that?" he said. "Out there is the whole world. You can sit on your ass and keep feeling sorry for yourself or go get any part of the world you want if you are willing to work for it." It was the kick in the ass I needed. It was tough, but I got back on my feet and soon was feeling pretty good about myself. Since then I've had more ups and downs than a see saw. But after the little speech I got that day, I've just taken the lows as a challenge. Its finally paid off. While I'm not filthy rich, I'm still alive and do most anything I want. This is certainly not me tooting my horn or bragging, but if you work hard (as I still am) and keep getting up every time you get knocked down, there is a time that it will pay off.

Faster than a one armed guy in a wheelchair. More powerful than a Chinese flashlight. Able to leap to conclusions in a single bound....

Got my prelim medical Tuesday and then I suspect many shots since I'll be in the A&E Dept.

Dang, you look different without the face rug. Good on you & hope things keep goin' yer way.

Yeah I know, I really do. I'm goikgnto let the stubble grow out a little more and try something more work appropriate than "lives in the woods and watches Alex. Jones videos"

I liked you the first time we met!!!!!!!!!!! All of my see-s and saw-s were self induced.
That's me. I wish I could blame them on someone else, but I brought most of my past problems on myself. I'm not real smart, but I sure I hope I learned something and remember the roads not to travel on again.

Had my first round of shots and they took a gallon or so of blood today, got to go back next week as well. Ah the joys of hospital work.

You'll be snapping necks and cashing checks in no time!

You can get the gender transition hormones legally now you know.

Not going for the full transition. Just doing the tuck and cover for now. Plus I thought we weren't gonna talk about that on open forum.

Well, I knew the good luck wouldn't last. Had to did into my funds for some unexpected expenses, crossing my fingers nothing else happens before I start getting paid since my margin just blew out. This is why planning always seems so futile!

Hopefully my BST stuff will move (not holding my breath though).

That last round of shots were somewhat mean, small needle, big ache.

@NCLivingBrit

Did you start today? Yesterday?

If so, manage to survive? :D

Yeah just hadn't been home long enough to post lol. Today was more classroom policy and housekeeping stuff, tomorrow is my first uniformed shift.

It's feeling good to be out the house and earning some money.

Well my dogs are barking. I haven't walked that much in a while and my legs feel like noodles. Mostly exploring the property and introducing myself to everyone.

Boss says he wants us all BLS trained and anyone amenable will get trained for armed also which I'm down for.

My schedule is now officially full time so that's making my wallet happy.

Some shoes with support will shut the dogs up.

And your post makes me smile. Congratulations!

Thanks. I've got some good insoles somewhere, I was wearing my Danner boots iirc. They're usually a goto because the ankle support is perfect for me.

Well I'm moved into the camper as was requested. It's not bad, but I'm eager to get paid so I can swap out the ailing gas fridge with something electric that works.

No internet out here yet, we have to get a more potent Wi-Fi doohickey from Spectrum or faff about trying to get one of those wifi extenders to work.

Not a great day, but it is what it is.

Baby steps.....you've got this.

Yeah, the money issues are likely gone, looks like 52-60 hours weeks are going to be the norm until January so there's that.

Working a lot will be good, might keep me from brooding too much.

As for work other than my feet feeling like hamburger the job itself is actually pretty cool. I wander round being nosey and visible and talking to a staff of 99% women many of whom are rather comely and all of whom are pleased to see security doing actual security things.

Just need my feet to get accustomed to all the miles. Installed a steps app, I'm curious how far I'm walking in a day.

Awesome sir. And please take what I'm about to suggest as well-intended advice...……...As you are starting this next venture be sure that you take the necessary measures to take extremely good care of your feet in every single decision you make to include buying the very best footwear possible. This will make every area of your life much better especially while you're at work interacting with people. You'll deal with fatigue much better and your recovery from a day at work will be much smoother so you can return without the pain, discomfort, and other issues that can surface with people that are on their feet for hours a day. I speak from many long years of experience on this. Podiatry foot problems are NOT what you want to face later in life.

Wishing you the best going forward on this and it's good knowing that things are turning in a new direction for you.
