Went to the WM on Pineville-Mathews and Providence and most of their ammo was on clearance. Picked up 6 boxes of WWB 9mm at $17.00/box. Selection is limited - but they had a significant amount of 9mm choices.

I bought some in there today, just after lunch. Took forever to get someone to open the ammo case.

I bought some ammo too. I happily clicked away and ordered 2000rds of quality brass ammo for .17 let round today. Should be delivered tomorrow, no showing ID to someone with a sub 100 IQ who cant make change or take a bath every week

From whom did you order?

I went by Wally World to get something else today and saw 5.56 ammo on clearance it was a 150 round box of 55 grain FMJ marked 48.97 and on sale for 50% off. The guy sold it to me but said it was not supposed to have been out for sale because it was “military grade” I also bought a box of 100 Federal for 12.97 ( normally was 15 he said) it wasn’t on the same sale

Per a friend, Elkin ammo on clearance, Statesville, everything is the same.

Not giving any money to the Walmart sleaze if there's another option.

You got 50% off the 48.97??

near around, that it was about 25-26 dollars I paid for the box of 5.56. It was in the slot for 48.97 so I don’t know if the guy messed up or what but didn’t say a thing, other than thank you have a good day!

Just came from my local Walmart (Roxboro) and the lady behind the counter said they aren't running any clearance specials on their ammo. Manager said that once it's all sold out then it's gone. I don't know if that means they won't be selling any at all or just keeping certain calibers.

this morning, Mebane had various calibers and counts on clearance.

Just came back from the kernersville store and almost verifying was marked down like 5-10%. Most 556 ammo was like $55 a box at normal price and marked down to $50

I bought nothing.

the Chapel Hill (yes, really) store will mark down soon.
this week, a team was brought in to do all the price changes.

I went by the Siler City Walmart on Friday of last week. Nothing was marked down.

I asked the clerk if the ammo might go on clearance soon.

He said, "I don't think it will go on clearance for a long time. Walmart has a contract with all these ammo companies and they purchase enough ammo to last over the upcoming year. Walmart already has an order in and must honor that contract, whether they announce that they will stop selling ammo or not. I think we will continue to receive ammo shipments over the next year, then when the warehouses start shipping out the last of the ammo, then it will go on sale to get rid of the last of it. "

Make sure you take that with the prescribed grain of salt...

In my local WW they are not "marked" clearance but the price on the tag reflects a discount from about 10% to 40%.
