I've just been called by a scammer about my Windows protection and when I told him I don't have Windows on any computer, he began with the foul language and unseemly suggestions.
I told him I was recording his call, which only spurred him to further raunchy language, with me laughing the whole time.

The point of all this is: What can I do about this? Is there anyone I can report the recording/number to?

I would report it to this guy in the car recording this. WARNING: BAD LANGUAGE. Don't watch if you don't want to hear it.

LOL. Made my eyes water I laughed so hard! Thanks!
Those guys sorta sound like the guy who just made improper suggestions to me....

Ask him for money, Tell him you had to sell your kidneys to pay the rent this year, and you know those guys can find some funds somewhere. Like crowdfunding, only call it creepfunding.

I knew I'd get some good ideas here!

Amateur ... you gotta play with ‘em with more finesse. I got one on my cellphone somehow from area code 876, Jamaica, a couple years back and got him so mad he threatened to kill me. I just chuckled and calmly gave him the old line, bring friends, bandages and body bags ... lots of body bags. He paused a second and then hung up.

If you have time it’s kinda like fishing I give ‘em some line and play them out :D ... otherwise just hang up.

Even if the government could do anything, they wouldn't and they don't. Yes you can trace any call spoofed or not. There are no truly untraceable dark web internet connections either. The NSA could fine each and every scammers location if they weren't busy spying on us.

Maybe it's me but except for "Have a nice day" I couldn't understand 98% of the conversation.

Well, I did keep him on the line for a couple of minutes, but I got tired of listening to the same couple of words over and over, so I hung up....lol.

Well, if they're spying on me, they'll be bored to tears....serves 'em right!

I have my cell set so the only calls that ring are contacts in my phone list.
Cuts down on a lot of BS.
Also if someone on the list calls that I don't want to talk to I don't answer.

Some of my friends call from numbers that aren't in the list or aren't their own numbers, so I mostly do answer.

Last week I received a call from me, it was a windows security courtesy call and my internet connection
would be canceled unless I let them access my PC. They used my own name and number to spoof the caller id.

My Windows calls say my account will be charged $299.99 unless I press "1" to cancel....and I just got another Social Security call about my number being connected to crimes, but when the guy asked for my name I said, "You called me, you should have all the information right there!"....and he hung up! At least this guy didn't use curse words!

They won’t be able to stop them, but the overwhelming number of recorded harassing calls might make the sorry lawyers in Congress come up with an improvement.

Why didn't you just hang up? You can't hear it then.

I only answer on an Old hardline that doesn't tell me who the caller is. I either answer or don't and then either talk or don't.

I've done that a few times, it's unbelievably rewarding. Makes my whole day.

Best not to press any buttons on the phones, sometimes they start an international phone call
and that can get expensive on your home or mobile phone.
I put the phone near the TV when Schiff or Pelosi is talking and they hang up quickly. ;)

Someone PM me Fubar’s #, I want to see his BS skill set. I need to up my game :D
Oh man ... I have soooo many.

- ask them to repeat everything ... tell them you need to get a pen and lay the phone down and walk away ... ask them for a number to call them back you’re in the middle of screwing your sister-in-law (my wife told me to go with daughter-in-law) ... just depends on what pops into my twisted mind

- if they start on Apple stuff : I can’t eat Apples because my dentures slip ... I prefer pears ... what kind of apples I like Granny Smiths ... etc

- if it’s Windows: I don’t have anything running Windows because that’s what the Russians hacked and elected Trump ... its winter all my windows are shut and locked it damn cold here ... we just replaced all the windows in the house with vinyl ones ... etc

- if they are asking for money ... I don’t have a credit card I only have cash can I fax you the money? I don’t drive and handle stuff using my good old fax machine ... that one is good for 2 to 3 minutes of pure frustration :D

- tell them you phone’s battery is dying and you need to call them back on another phone ... that catches off guard.

- there’s the old classic when they ask for social security number, credit card number or such is give them a number that is 5 digits then dash and then 3 more stopping abruptly and saying ... oops that was my inmate identification number, after being in prison as long as I was I that’s the ID number I automatically say first

Lately, I’ve been waiting for the political stuff but for some reason I’ve not received any calls ... no surveys or polls.
